Today I am showing some love for the well-loved MEANT TO BE STAMP SET and a fun ombre style #simplestamping technique using three colours from our BRIGHTS collection


Creating my own background designs for my cards has always been one of my favourite things to do and it's a great way to add your own style with colours and patterns.  For this card I have used two heart images from the MEANT TO BE STAMP SET and stamped in an ombre style, starting with the darkest colour at the top and moving down to the lightest.

STAMPERS SHOWCASE JANUARY IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE, BABY BLOG HOP

 Hello and welcome to my blog today wherever you are in the world!


Today I am sharing a card that I have designed for the January Global Stampers Showcase Blog Hop which is all about love, baby!


For my card design, I have used one of my favourite colour combinations, Monochrome with a splash of pink!



I am a BIG fan of stripes in my life and I keep seeing this background technique all over social media so I've finally given it a go!  There is even a tutorial for to you watch below!

I really enjoyed the simplicity of putting the background together; I have used strips of BASIC BLACK and BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK and added the die-cut heart from the STITCHED BE MINE DIES that I have raised slightly with STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS. 





For the sentiment, I have cut a banner of BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK and then used the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES to cut out the word love.  

"You" has been heat embossed onto BASIC BLACK CARDSTOCK using WHITE STAMPIN' EMBOSS POWDER. 


I love the simplicity of this card design and I think the bold colours work really well together.

Valentine's isn't just about romance...well for me anyway...

Hi all,

I hope you're all well!  Finally the weekend, and the start of half term for me and my girls!

Yesterday I posted the card that I made for my husband to celebrate Valentine's Day but I also sent 4 other cards.  For me, Valentines isn't just about my husband, but about showing other special people in my life, how much they mean to me.

For these cards, I used the Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes along with some #simplestamping and strips of DSP.


As well as strips of DSP, I have used the Tailored Tag Punch to create the sentiment label.  I have cut another in Melon Mambo Cardstock, cut it in half and attached underneath so that you can see a border of the pink underneath.  I have attached it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. 

The sentiments that I have used on the card front and the envelope are part of the Incredible Like You Stamp Set and I think they are just so fitting.  The font is just lovely too.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi all,

Today's card that I am sharing with you is one that I have given to my husband today to say "Happy Valentine's Day".  I find it really difficult to hit the mark with male cards but i'm really pleased with how this one has turned out.  I am a big fan of Emma Bridgewater china and I have taken inspiration from her with the dots and lettering for this one.

I have used the Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes for this project, and I have use the dot image from the Incredible Like You Stamp Set and stamped randomly in Lovely Lipstick Ink.


I have cut the scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies from Basic Black Cardstock, and plain edged circle in Whisper White.  "I Love You" comes from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set and I have used 1st and 2nd generation stamping to create the tones of Lovely Lipstick.

To finish, I have stamped the same sentiment onto Basic Black Cardstock using a Versamark Stampin' Pad, added White Stampin' Emboss Powder and used a Heat Tool to set.  I have cut the sentiment down into a small strip and attached to the card front. 


As alsways, I can't bear to leave the envelope plan so I have again used 1st and 2nd generation stamping to create tones of the Lovely Lipstick colour.

FEBRUARY CARD CLASS - HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Hi all,  

Today’s card is the 2nd card from February’s Card Class that took place on Tuesday this week. We focussed mainly on the new bundle of products that feature in the Spring/Summer catalogue although for this card we have only used the “Forever Lovely Stamp Set” from the bundle . 

This card features a C6 cardbase that has been cut from a piece of A4 Lovely Lipstick Coloured Cardstock and stamped over using the coordinating ink pad.  This image is really nice to use as it is made up of lots of hearts layered together so you get varying tones of the same colour. 


I have added a strip of the Forever Lovely DSP sheets through the middle of the card to lighten the card base but still leaving the lovely stamped hearts on display! 

The rectangle has been cut from the Stitched Rectangles Framelits Dies and I have repeated the heat stamping down the centre before attaching it to the card front. 

I have used one of the hearts from the Corrugated Elements and finished with a heat-embossed sentiment that really does ‘POP’!

For the inside of the card, I have stamped the hearts down the right hand side of the insert, and finished with the ‘love you’ sentiment....it is a valentines card after all!
