CREATING A SET OF NOTECARDS WITH PATTERNED PAPER SCRAPS

Hello and welcome to my blog today, thank you so much for visiting,

Today I am sharing a set of notecards that I created during a recent Facebook Live Demonstration using the SUBTLES DESIGNER SERIES PAPERS and some white-on-white die cutting using the PERENNIAL PETALS DIES.

One of the things that I am super guilty of (and I don't think I am alone) is keeping hold of pieces of patterned paper for "just incase" I might need it so I wanted to share a technique to use up all those pieces we are saving for "just incase".

I have kept my colour palette super simple by adding the pieces to BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK, adding a little bit of background stamping and adding texture with some LINEN THREAD and GILDED GEMS!

For my first card layout, I have used a piece of SOFT SEA FOAM DSP that measures just 2cm x 14cm long, and the BLUSHING BRIDE piece measures just 5cm x 9.7cm.

On the 3rd desgin, a piece of PETAL PINK DSP measuring 6cm x 9.7cm

And for the final two, a POOL PARTY piece measuring 6cm x 9.7cm, and the HIGHLAND HEATHER PIECE piece measures just 2cm x 14cm.

As mentioned earlier, this is a fab way of using up those smaller pieces of patterned paper (or even coloured cardstock) and is a great way of creating a matching set of notecards to use for a gift, or package up to sell at a craft fair or online event.

For my decoration, I have kept the design super simple by layering two die-cut pieces from the PERENNIAL PETALS DIES both cut from BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK. I have added some stamped leaves (from the FOREVER FERN STAMP SET ) underneaths and finished with a sentiment from the WELL SAID STAMP SET in SAHARA SAND INK to match the colour of the LINEN THREAD.

To bring my set of notecards all together, I have decorated of of the ACETATE CARD BOXES using a belly band with the same style of decoration to match the cards.

NEW 2020-2022 IN-COLOUR CARDS

Morning everyone,

Friday here again and does anyone else feel like the weeks are just passing by really quickly?! I'm looking forward to some quality family time this weekend and the husband has Monday and Tuesday off so a lovely extended break for us! And today is the last day of term too meaning that I have a whole week off being teacher, hooray!

Now...onto today's cards; I have used ALL the new 2020-2022 In-Colours which I can't work out right now which one is my favourite! They are all really vibrant and work so well together!

I have used the Whisper White Notecards as my base for these cards, and layered on some of the 2020-2022 In-Colours Designer Series Papers; you get 4 different designs in each colour and I can't work out which design is my favourite either...can you see a pattern here?

For the sentiment, I have used the new Lovely You Stamp Set and Lovely Labels Pick a Punch punch bundle which has been cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

The flowers have been fussy cut from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper Stack which showcase all the new in-colours so they work really well together!

These designs would work really well with other colours and designs and are quite quick to put together; if you cut the DSP in the right way, you will get 2 cards from each sheet!

I am looking forward to sending these cards out as part of my annual catalogue launch in June!
