Today I am sharing a card design that I have created for this weeks GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT which is all about a sketch!  I have used the HEY GIRLFRIEND STAMP SET to create my card design and a simple water colouring technique using our fab WATER PAINTERS.

SUNDAY NIGHT STAMPING CATCH UP | INK BLENDING TECHNIQUE TO CREATE AN OMBRE STYLE BACKGROUND

Hello and a warm welcome to my blog!


Today I am sharing a card that I designed for a recent Facebook Live demonstration. I have used the BIRDS & BRANCHES STAMP SET and coordinating BIRDS AND MORE DIES that are available in our 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  You can save yourself 10% when  you purchase these items together as a BUNDLE too!



Although I have owned this bundle for some time now, it isn't one of my most used however I am making the effort to use things that I haven't shown much love to that little bit more.  

For my card, I have strayed away from the birds, and focussed my attention on one of the very detailed dies which has been cut in BASIC BLACK CARDSTOCK and added to a scalloped circle from the LAYERING CIRCLE DIES.  


But, perhaps the most striking part of this card is that super bright background!  Believe it or not, that piece started as a plain old piece of BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK!

I have added MAGENTA MADNESS INK to the white card with one of our new BLENDING BRUSHES (they come in a pack of 3).  These brushes are super soft and make ink blending such straightforward fun.  I have created an ombre look by adding more colour to the top of the card, and using less as I worked down the card.  (Watch the replay of the Facebook Live to see just how easy this is to do!)

Once coloured, I have run it through the STAMPIN' CUT AND EMBOSS MACHINE with the SUTBLE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER to give it some more texture.  I have also splashed some black ink onto it using a BASIC BLACK STAMPIN WRITE MARKER PEN, one of my most favourite techniques!


To bring the centrepiece of this card together, I have taken my layered die cut circles, and before attaching to my card, I have layered some ribbon underneath (more lovely texture!).  Thank goodness for Stampin' Up!'s awesome colour coordinating products!

And to finish the card front, I have added some stamped flowers (from the BIRDS AND BRANCHES STAMP SET) that I have stamped with a MAGENTA MADNESS CLASSIC STAMPIN PAD and added some MATTE BLACK DOTS to the centres.  

The sentiment comes from the MOVING ALONG STAMP SET that is another handy one from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue!


And of course, there is more detail on the inside of this card!  I have added the same ink blending and flower design inside to bring it all together.

 Hello and welcome to my blog,

Today I am sharing a card that I have created using the Love of Leaves Bundle of products that is a popular feature in the August - December mini catalogue 

For my card, I have used Neutral colours; Crumb Cake and Soft Suede along with one of this years In-colours; Bumblebee. 


I have added in extra details with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Holiday Rhinestones and one of the ribbons from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo. 

And of course, a hand stamped envelope is always a nice touch when creating something special.
