NOEL CARD

in , , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, November 22, 2018
Hi all,

Today's card features the Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments that I was unsure of at first, however after having a little play I can see why they are so popular!

This card has been put together using a standard C6 Card Base in Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and features the Joyous Noel Speciality Designer Series Papers that have actually SOLD OUT of the Autumn/Winter product offering.

I have used a simple strip of the DSP as the background and created the letters using the Letters for You Stamp Set and matching Large Letters Framelits Dies.

CELEBRATE THE SEASON GIFT BOX

in , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, November 21, 2018
Hi all,

Yesterday I had my final class of the 2018 and it was a good one!  We made a card, a box, and a gift bag so the ladies were nice and occupied for the evening. As always it was lots of fun!

I put the gift box together using a design that my lovely up-line Michelle Last taught us a few years back at a team training event.  It's a really simple one to put together and it looks fab in any colour and for any occasion!

I have created this design in Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (my favourite Christmas Colour!) and before putting together I have ran it through the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  This folder not only makes your projects look sytlish, it also gives the card a leathery look and feel which is just great for 3D projects!

To decorate this one, I have used two of the layering circles and coloured in the main image from the Peaceful Poinsettia Framelits Dies.  I have die-cut the word 'Celebrate' from the Celebrate You Thinlits and finished with two addtional words 'The Season' which originate from the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set

If you would like to give this a go, use the instructions below with a piece of cardstock measuring 6" x 8.5".  The sections marked 'CUT' are the sections that you fold to create the base.

PRODUCTS USED FOR THIS PROJECT INCLUDE:
- Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Hi all,

Vertical Greetings is a stamp set that has been on my wish list for a while now and I finally purchased it during the 15% off promotion that took place last month, and I am hooked!

This card features one of the images that I have added different coloured ink using a Sponge Dauber.  For this one, I have used Mossy Meadow for the leaves, Soft Suede for the stem and Crushed Curry for the plant pot.

For the card base, I have added some texture by running it through the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing FolderI have also added a wash of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint over the top to give it a shiny look.  For this I have used a sponge and lightly wiped across the card front.

Underneath my stamped element, I have used the Ribbon Border Punch to create the strip that you can see on the right hand side.

To finish, I have tied some Braided Linen Trim.

CHRISTMAS WISHES WITH PEACEFUL POINSETTIA

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, November 14, 2018
Hi all,

I hope you're all having a good week so far!

Today's card has been out together using the Peaceful Poinsettia Stamp Set and I have kept it really really simple.  The theme of this months Onstage event is all about putting cards together using just ink, stamps and paper and that's what you see here.

Using a standard C6 card, I have added a layer of Very Vanilla measuring 10cm X 14.5cm.  The sentiment and Poinsettia image has been stamped using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad and coloured in using Stampin' Blends in Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler. I have added a thin black line around the edge using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

To finish, I have tied some Basic Black Metallic Thread securing with a bow with a sequin.

Using just stamps ink and paper is totally out of my comfort zone as I always tend to use punches, dies, embellishments, embossing etc but actually it's nice to let the stamping do the work for you!

PRODUCTS USED:
- Peaceful Poinsettia Stamp Set
- Shaded Spruce and Very Vanilla Cardstock
- Stampin' Blends (Shaded Spruce Light and Dark, Cherry Cobbler Light and Dark)
- Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad
- Basic Black Metallic Thread
- Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins
- Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WITH AMAZING LIFE

in , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, November 13, 2018
Hi all,

Hope your Monday was a good start to your week.

For today's card, I have used one of the **BRAND NEW** stamp sets that demonstrators were given for free in their goodie bags at the Onstage event this weekend.  I am a big fan of cake so any stamp set that features cake is always a winner with me!

I have used a standard C6 card base using Basic Black A4 Cardstock and a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 14.5cm x 10cm to give a small black edge.  Before attaching to the card front, I have stamped the cake image at an angle repeatedly and used Stampin' Blends to colour the images.  If you look closely you will see that the colouring isn't perfectly to the lines which is a technique I like to give a different look to your colouring.

For the main feature of this card, I have used the Layering Circle Dies to create the layers.  The top layer has been stamped around the edge with a swirl stamp from this set in Blushing Bride before attaching.

To finish I have added a bow of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon and Happy Birthday!

This stamp set will be available to order from January 2018 in the Spring/Summer catalogue.  It is a great new stamp set and I think that it will be a much-used one in my crafting.  The sentiments are really sweet and includes my life mantra "Life's too short to say no to cake!"

- Stampin' Trimmer
- Basic Black A4 Cardstock (for the card base and circle layering)

Hi all,

Today is the first of my Christmas Coffee and Card sessions so of course I had to use my favourite stamp set from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue, Spirited Snowmen!

Starting with a standard C6 card base in Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock I have stamped the bubbles and splatter straight onto the card base and attached a 2, 1/4" Circle of DSP in the bottom corner.  The snowman has been stamped onto a seperate piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock using Memento Ink and coloured in using Stampin' Blends.  Before attaching to the card front, I have cut out and swirled some Silver Metallic Thread underneath.

Keeping with the grey/blue colour combination, I have stamped the sentiment onto some Smoky Slate Cardstock and attached.  To finish I have added some Basic Backed Sequins.

For that extra special touch, I have stamped the inside of the card and the envelope!  Who doesn't love a matching stamped envelope?!!

Looking forward to a fun morning!

WE WILL REMEMBER...

in , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, November 11, 2018
Hi all,

After all the excitement of yesterday at Onstage, today has a different focus.

Remembrance Day is upon us, and with such a sombre feel to the day, I like to take a moment to look around and consider that without people sacrificing their lives to fight for queen and country not just during the Great Wars but every day in foreign lands, and on home soil, life would not be as it is today.  And that makes me feel grateful, sad and proud all at the same time.

This morning we are off to church to remember those who lost lives and loved ones, and of course share in the two minutes silence that will take place at 11am.

And here is my poppy which my blog shall wear proudly

I hope whatever you are doing today, you too take a moment to be thankful and remember those who shall not be forgotten.

Hi all,

Today is one of my favourite days in the Stampin' Up! calendar.  Twice a year Stampin' Up! hold an event for demonstrators to celebrate everyone who works really hard and launch new catalogues full of exciting new product for us to use.  These events are known as "Onstage" and todays event is extra special as it marks 30 years since Stampin' Up! opened it's doors for business.  The event took place LIVE in Disneyworld, Florida last week and I am attending the UK's local version in Birmingham.  There will be goodie bags, new product, achievements shared and lots of fun.

I am so lucky to be attending with two of my wonderful team.  Spending time with them is the best thing and meeting up with people from the Stampin' Up! community is also very special.  Watch out next week for lots of inspiration, sneak peaks and happy faces!

A tradition with these events is to create something (as many times as you want) to share with other attending demonstrators.  These are known as swaps and this is a great opportunity to share what you have made, and be given something new to inspire you in your crafting.  These swaps vary in complexity and it's just lovely to know that people have put something together to pass on.

I have put together two swaps to share with the crowd, one you may recognise and one is totally new!

My first swap is a tag that I have put together with the Trio Corner Punch and decorated with the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.  To bring this tag to life, I have used Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake for my colour combination, and you have ink, cardstock and ribbon to create different layers.  One of my favourite parts of this tag is the ribbon at the top.  I have used the Whisper White Polka Dot Tuille trim and used a sponge dauber to add Crushed Curry Ink, making it match everything perfectly!

For my second swap, I have created a card front using the Spirited Snowmen Stamp Set.  I created this design as part of my October Christmas Card Class and I have adapted it further for this swap.

This card front is alot more involved than it looks with colour being added to the background creating the night sky.  The snowman have been stamped, coloured in with Stampin' Blends and Champagne Shimmer Paint, cut out and attached back to the card.  The edges have been stamped and distressed further with ink.  I have added the elements in the top right hand corner to give it more dimension and of course a bit of christmas sparkle!

I'm really looking forward to handing these out today and I will share my received swaps with you next week!

If you love Stampin' Up! and want to be part of this wonderful company then seek out your local demonstrator and have a chat about what they can offer plus the joining deal is just FAB! TIMELESS TIDINGS TIMES TWO

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, November 08, 2018
Hi all,

Apologies for my absence from my blog, it's been a really bust few weeks with lots of different things going on.  Hopefully life will be calmer soon.

Whenever a new catalogue comes out, I always try to seek out the stamp sets and products that have more than one use and for me, in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue it is the Timeless Tidings Stamp Set.  Not only does it have some great sentiments, it also has a few images and people receiving christmas cards from me will definitely see these!  They're a great size and look fab in different colours and as additions to other sets.

Today's cards have been put together using a few of the images in my favourite tradition red and green christmas colours.
I have used the "Joy" from the Festive Farmhouse Elements set.  These are great little elements to add to your cards and although they come in a grey colour, they can be coloured with Stampin' Blends and look really smart.

As you know from following my blog, I do love things that match!  To pull these cards together into a "set" I have used the same colours and the Buffalo Check Stamp Set to create the gingham background effect.  This is another one of those stamp sets that has proven really popular and a quick search through Pinterest will show you that it looks so good in any colour!
For some added sparkle I have used the Sprig Punch and some Red Glimmer Paper.

PRODUCTS USED:
- A4 Cardstock in Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Whisper White
- Stamp Sets - Buffalo Check and Timeless Tidings
- Layering Circles Dies
- Sprig Punch
- Festive Farmhouse Elements
- Red Glimmer Paper
- Stampin' Blends
