INTRODUCING SEASONED WITH KINDNESS

in , , , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, December 13, 2018
Hi all,

As a hostess, you have access to an exclusive set of stamps that can be purchased at a discounted cost and in this years offering the stamp sets are just fab!

For today's card I have used the Seasoned With Kindness Stamp Set and can be purchased for just £9.00 worth of Stampin' Rewards, WOW!  There are 13 stamps in the set, and include outlines and in-fill images that can be used either on their own or for some two-step stamping fun.  Although the sentiments lean towards thank you and celebrating, the occasions are endless that this one can be used for so is a great addition to your stamp set libraries!

For my card, I have used a standard C6 card base and layered on some Wood Textures Designer Series Papers and some Shaded Spruce CardstockFor that little something extra, I have stamped the cardstock using one of the images from the set in Shaded Spruce Ink.

For the main feature of this card, I have stamped the flower pot images onto Smoky Slate Cardstock, cut out and attached to the piece of Whisper White Cardstock that is the top layer of this card.  I have then stamped the flowers onto the card, and attached the flower pot over the top.

To finish, I have stamped the sentiment tag, cut out and stuck on using a Stampin' Dimensional.  I have also tied some Linen Thread into a bow.

SEASONS GREETINGS WITH VERTICAL GREETINGS

in , , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, December 11, 2018
Hi all,

I really enjoy making Christmas cards that don't look obviously Christmassy and I think this card fits that bill perfectly.

I have used muted tones of green and red to create this vintage looking style and stamped onto Very Vanilla Cardstock instead of Whisper White to tone it all down.

I find the Vertical Greetings Stamp Set really versatile and doesn't scream Christmas however this little tree reminds me of the small space-saving Christmas trees you see being sold at this time of year.

For this stamp set, I find it easier to add ink to the image using a Sponge Dauber so that you can add different colours into the image at the same time.  I have done just that for this one!

To create the 'distressed' look, I have added more ink using a Sponge Dauber around the edges and splashed some Crumb Cake ink using an Aqua Painter.

Believe it or not, the ribbon is actually White, however the great thing about this one is that it is so easy to add your own colour to it.  I have seen people use ink straight from an ink pad and anAqua Painter and Stampin' Blends.  I have chosen to use my Sponge Dauber again and add the ink lightly across.  The important thing here is to let the ink dry for a few minutes before attaching to the card.  This avoids any excess ink being transferred onto your project (yes I learnt this the hard way!)

To finish, I have added some Linen Thread around the bow that I have tied, and stamped the 'Seasons Greetings' sentiment that is part of the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set.
I would love to hear your comments on this one so please feel free to leave me one below

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WITH VERTICAL GREETINGS

in , , , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, November 20, 2018
Hi all,

Vertical Greetings is a stamp set that has been on my wish list for a while now and I finally purchased it during the 15% off promotion that took place last month, and I am hooked!

This card features one of the images that I have added different coloured ink using a Sponge Dauber.  For this one, I have used Mossy Meadow for the leaves, Soft Suede for the stem and Crushed Curry for the plant pot.

For the card base, I have added some texture by running it through the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing FolderI have also added a wash of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint over the top to give it a shiny look.  For this I have used a sponge and lightly wiped across the card front.

Underneath my stamped element, I have used the Ribbon Border Punch to create the strip that you can see on the right hand side.

To finish, I have tied some Braided Linen Trim.

THOUGHTS FOR YOU WITH SUNSHINE WISHES

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, June 27, 2018
Hi all,

I hope you're all having a good week.  I am really busy with my "paid" job this week but trying really hard to fit in some crafting as well.

Today's card may look simple but there is alot going on here.  I have used a mixture of Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Best Bird Stamp Set, Hardwood Background Stamp and the Sheltering Tree Stamp SetCan you spot what's where???

Sheltering Tree Stamp Set - I have used the spotty stamp set for the background of the card.
Hardwood Background Stamp - This is a large background stamp which is sometimes quite overhwhelming so I have stamped it onto a die-cut circle (from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies) and attached to the card base.
Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies  - The die cut flower die has been used for the main feature of the card.
Best Birds Stamp Set - "Thoughts For You" is the sentiment that has been stamped and die cut out using an oval die in the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Before attaching to the card, I have added a strip of Burlap Ribbon underneath for a bit of added texture!

If you would like to purchase any of these items used, please click the "shop now" button on the side of my blog, or contact me for more information! When ordering on line make sure to enter this months hostess code HZ3ZM6XR to receive a small gift from me at the end of the month!

Hope you have a fab day!

YOU ARE SIMPLY AMAZING BUTTERFLY

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, January 29, 2018
Hi all,

Hope you all enjoyed a good weekend. Morten birthday parties here for my 5 year old and catching up with family and friends for us.  Nice busy week ahead for us as well but hoping for some crafting time tomorrow evening where I can finally get to play with some of my new products that are sat on my shelf!

This card was a follow on from the series of cards that I made to showcase the Celebrate You Thinlits.  I have had these butterflies from the moment there were available to pre-order for us demonstrators and I used them on everything for ages but I always seem to forget to use them now, silly girl I am sometimes!

This card is alot more detailed than it looks at a glance.  These are the sort of cards that I love to send out as they really have been thoughtfully created.  I'm looking forward to sending this one to someone who I truly think is amazing and such an inspiration!

The card is a mixture of subtle tones including Sahara Sand (for the card base), Crumb Cake (for the stamping and card mat), Copper Foil Card (for the butterfly), White and Black which I really think pulls it all together.

Again, a few textures going on here too, plain cardstock, Vellum, Foil and Burlap Ribbon.
I've said it before but I generally think that these Thinlit dies are so effective and the stamp set sets it all off niccely.

If you would like to order any of these products, or host a Private Workshop in your home to make this card, and 2 others please message me directly.

These are the products that I have used:

Remember until the end of March everytime you SHOP, HOST or JOIN you can earn extra FREE products.

Have a great start to the week!
