Hi all,

I know that we have only just got through the summer holidays here in the UK and the children have only just gone back to school but the festive season is on its way and I even saw the Christmas chocolates on the shelves in Tesco today!

Stampin' Up! released the Autumn/Winter catalogue on the 4th September so the Christmas crafting has begun! I even have my first Christmas card class coming up this week!

It always takes me time to warm up to Christmas crafting but there are so many lovely new products in the new catalogue this year that it's not been the usual challenge!

For this card I have used a strip of Silver Foil Sheet which I have run through the new Corrugated Embossing Folder which I think will be a really popular new product! As it's a dynamic folder, you get a really deep emboss which is just fab!

THINKING OF YOU WITH PEACEFUL REFLECTION

in , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, September 15, 2018
Hi all,

It's always nice to be asked to make a card for someone, even if it's a sympathy card.  It's nice to know that my card will let someone know that they are in someone's thoughts .

Today's card is for just that reason.  I like to keep this cards simple and neutral, it doesn't feel right to include lots of colour and embellishments.

For this card, I have used the Peaceful Reflection Stamp Set which is new for 2018.  For me, it's one of those stamp sets that when I first see it, I don't "see" what it's all about but after a little play, I think it's a really useful one.

I have used Crumb cake and Whisper White for the main colours here, and added a touch of Blueberry Bushell and Balmy Blue for the dragonfly.  He' is a two-step stamped image where you start by stamping the outline stamp, and then use another stamp to in-fill the colour.  This is a great technique if you're not a fan of colouring, and it's quick too!

For the background, you will see the speckled dots.  This is one of my most favourite techniques for breaking up a background.  Take an aqua painter, make sure that the brush is full of water, add some ink and then tap across the background to "splash" the ink on.

Dimensions:
- Standard A6 cardbase
- Whisper White cardstock measuring 4" x 5, 5/8"

Products Used:
- Cardstock - Crumb Cake and Whisper White
- Classic Stampin' Pads - Crumb Cake, Blueberry Bushell and Balmy Blue
- Aqua Painter
- Peaceful Reflection Stamp Set
- Sheltering Tree Stamp Set ("Thinking of You")

Hi all,

Friday already can you believe?!!

Today's feature is something that I try really hard to do every week, however with crafting time sometimes being a bit erratic I don't always manage it.

The card that I am showing you today has been CASE'd directly from something I saw on Pinterest a little while ago (click here to view) and I think it would be fab for any occasion card.  CASE means to Copy And Share Everywhere, and it's always nice to give credit to the person that the idea originated from.

This card has been put together from one sheet of A4 cardstock, to make the base, 1 sheet of A4 coloured cardstock for the matting and another sheet of A4 Whisper White Cardstock for the stamped top layers.

I really like the way that this multi folded card opens out, and as it folds totally flat it is great for
posting as well!

The flowers originate from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set that is a two-step technique set.  It means that there are multiple stamps that you use to create a single image.  You can use different stamp pads or the same colour stampin' pad to create an image with layers and tones.

Dimensions
Card base measures 5.5" x 11.5".
Score along the long edge at 0.25", 3.75" and 7.25"
Turn so that the small scored edge is at the top, and cut at 5/8" down to the bottom score line only.
Cut another piece of Whisper White measuring 2.75" x 4.25".  This piece is attached to the 0.25" strip for the front of the card.

Products Used:
- Stampin' Trimmer
- Simply Scored
- Tear and Tape
- A4 Cardstock - Whisper White & Balmy Blue
- Classic Stampin' Pads - Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Blueberry Bushell, Gray Granite and Smoky Slate
- Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad
- Painted Harvest Stamp Set
- Timeless Textures Stamp Set
- Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set
- Beautiful Day Stamp Set

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WITH GORGEOUS GRAPE!

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, September 13, 2018
Hi all,

As a demonstrator, every product I buy is an investment so when the colour update was announced at the start of the new Annual Cataogue, it was a bit of a worry but as soon as we were shown the new colours, the worries floated away! Stampin' Up! really have given us some stunning new colours that compliment everything we have brilliantly.

Now I'm not usually a purple fan, but maybe we've just never had the right purple for my personality because Gorgeous Grape is just fabulous!  It's really bright and indulgent and really makes your projects pop!

For this card, I have used a variety of different Gorgeous Grape shades, with splashes of ink onto the card base, a wash of ink using an Aqua Painter, stamping onto Whisper White and onto Gorgeous Grape cardstock!
What are your thoughts on this new colour?  I'm sure it won't be the last you see of it from me....

Products Used:
- Falling Flowers Stamp Set
- May Flowers Framelits
- Blow out the Candles Stamp Set
- Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin' Pad
- Cardstock - Gorgeous Grape and Whisper White
