Inspire Create Stamping Challenge entry with Piece of Cake

Hi all,

Every now and again I like to take part in blog challenges of which there are so many out there! Today I am entering the Inspire Create Stamping Challenge with a card that I have adapted from this weeks Coffee and Card session. 

The challenge for this fortnight is using a sketch as the starting point and there are lots of samples from the Inspire Create designers to get you started. The great thing about sketch challenges is everyone has their own interpretation! 
I have used a standard C6 cardbase and added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock and a strip of monochrome Botanical Butterflies DSP. For the main feature I have added a square of Whisper White Cardstock that I have water coloured  with an Aqua Painter and some ink from the lid of the Melon Mambo ink pad.  On top of this square, I have added the cake on the cake stand from the Piece of Cake Stamp Set. I have coloured the stand in with Stampin’ Blends and added some Champagne Shimmer Paint to make it sparkly! To finish I have added the word “Friend” from the Stitched All Around Stamp Set and a Melon Mambo Glitter Enamel Dot!

Hand Delivered take four...

Hi all,

Card number 4 using the Hand Delivered Stamp Set and another using the Yellow, Grey and Purple colour combination that matches the card I shared yesterday. 

 For this one, I have used the banner image instead of the balloons, and added some flowers to match the skirt.   

I have added a background strip of Basic Black cardstock that I have edged with the White Stampin' Chalk Marker which I think really makes the black pop even more.

I have stamped the flowers onto the Smoky Slate cardstock and coloured with the same Stampin' Blends.


These two cards look great together as a set, and I'm excited to send them out to friends with birthdays coming very soon!

Hand Delivered in yellow, grey and... purple!

Hi all,

Day 3 of my Hand Delivered Stamp Set showcase and some of my favourite yellow and grey.  To mix it up a little, I've added PURPLE!!  Or Highland Heather to be precise.....

 Starting with a C6 card base using Crushed Curry A4 cardstock, I have added a layer of Smoky Slate cardstock, and a strip of monochrome spotty paper from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Papers.  These papers are currently FREE when you place an order of £45 and are only available while stocks last!


The body and balloons images have been stamped onto Whisper White cardstock, coloured in with Stampin' Blends and cut out.  I have added some light lines using a White Stampin' Chalk Marker and attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to raise.

For the sentiment, I have stamped "Happy Birthday", cut around and attached to the balloons.

Hi all,

Today I am sharing with you the Thank You Notecards I have put together for February customers. 

Have you seen the Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes in the Annual Catalogue? The notecards measure 6.4cm x 11.4cm so are great for when you want to send a simple note to someone. 

I have re-created the notecards from Basic Black Cardstock for these Thank You cards and used a selection of punched layers for the main feature.  I have used the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet for the Starburst shape which is currently a FREE Level 1 Sale-a-a ration item that has been really popular with customers so much so that isn’t is nearly SOLD OUT! 

The Butterfly image comes from the SOLD OUT Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and I have chosen to leave it uncoloured to fit in with the monochrome colour theme I have gone with. 


The sentiment also comes from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and I have heat embossed it onto the cardfront using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. 

Inside the card I have added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock to write my message of thanks on.

PINKIES TEAM TRAINING SALEABRATION SWAPS

Hi all,

Another day, another card for another swap group from this weekends team training session.  The theme for this was is Sale-a-Bration so I chose to use the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set, and I even snuck in some of the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets too. 

Starting with a standard C6 cardbase, I have added a layer of Melon Mambo Cardstock that I have added Textured with the Polka Dots Basic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Embossing is such a great way of adding something extra to your cards without having to do lots of stamping or adding fussy embellishments. I try to use it as much as I can and there are so many Embossing folders to choose from! 



I have cut a rectangle using the new Stitched Rectangle Framelits Dies from a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock that I have stamped the sentiment across using a Gray Granite Classic Stampin’ Pad.

I have used the Starburst Punch and a 2” Circle Punch to create the layers underneath the cupcake 



The sentiment has been stamped onto Basic Black Cardstock and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  To finish I have added some Melon Mambo Glitter Enamel Dots.

BOTANICAL BUTTERFLY WATER COLOURING...AGAIN!

Hi all, 

I have recently shown you two cards using the Botanical Butterfly DSP that is currently free to anyone who places a qualifying Sale-a-Bration order along with lots more products available. 

The DSP is monochrome so is great to use for colouring or teaming with any colour you choose, 

For my cards I have used the Watercolour colour Pencils and kept it simple with tones of one colour family per card.  This is the third card and I have used Real Red for the base butterflies and for the single one of top, tones of Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. 

On this one I have added a simple splash of Brilliant Red Brusho Pigment ink and lightly spritzed.  

The sentiment that you see belongs to the Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set. It is such a powerful sentiment for me and I am lucky to know so many people that this sentiment would be suitable for!

HELLO CUPCAKE CARD IN A BOX

Hi all,

Today I have something a bit more than a card for you....a card in a box! 

It’s always nice to make something a bit different every now and again and today’s project is just that. I have used the Hello Cupcake Photopolymer Stamp Set and one of the great things about this set is all the different colour combinations you can use. I’m yet to find one that I don’t like as well! Today’s. Ollie combination is Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate and So Saffron. 


Box measures 4, 1/8” square and rather than there being a bottom and a lid, the box has a fold over closure that is secured by some Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon . The box has been decorated with:

Inside the box, you will find the 3, 3/4” square folded card....the image from the front of the box has been stamped again, with a sentiment from the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set.  I had added this to a small oval shape from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. 


Wow this was hard to photograph! The individual letters have been stamped using the Letters For You Stamp Set and cut out using the coordinating Large Letters Framelits Dies and attached to each panel. 


On the back of each panel I have stamped some cupcakes in alternate So Saffron and Mint Macaron to finish.
