STAMPERS SHOWCASE SEPTEMBER FALL / HALLOWEEN BLOG HOP

Hello and welcome to the September edition of the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!

Today, we have all created projects for you with the theme of Fall, Autumn and Halloween! I am not a huge fan of Halloween so I have chosen to create an Autumnal feeling card for you.

For my design today, I have used the Lovely Leaves Bundle of products that feature in the August - December Mini Catalogue. Within the bundle is the Lovely Leaves Stamp Set and the Stitched Leaves Dies. I'm not sure which product I love more as both are just wonderful to use!

I have chosen a really rich autumn colour palette of Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow for my card. The leaves have been die-cut using both the outline and the separate stitching dies and I have added some additonal colour to the edges of the leaves with a Sponge Dauber and the corresponding ink colour! I love how this really simple technique with the edges changes the look of these leaves and it just makes them feel more "real".

I have layered the leaves together and added to my card front which I have backed with some of the In Good Taste Designer Series Papers which are a perfect fit for these leaves too as they are all natural looking designs!

For the sentiment, I have heat embossed the words onto Basic Black Cardstock with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and cut into two strips to layer onto the leaves. To finish I have added some more natural texture with a Linen Thread bow!
