FIRST FROST MEETS MOSSY MEADOW

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 31, 2019
Hi all,

Today’s card features two items that are carrying over from the Autumn/Winter catalogue and I finally put together some cards using it last week, hooray!
It’s a lovely stamp set with textured images and there are coordinating framelits available which I have also used on this card.

I have only used Mossy Meadow Ink, Mossy Meadow Cardstock and Whisper White to create the colour combination and I’m really pleased with how the stamps create textured images and different tones of the single colour.

I have stamped both onto the card front and die-cut out some stamped images and layered them together at the top and the bottom.

The sentiment comes from the stamp set as well and I particularly like the font on this one.

GREY FLOWERS? GO ON THEN....

in , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 25, 2019
Hi all,

Another day, another card using the "All That You Are Stamp Set" and today I have used grey as my colour theme!  Basic Grey, Grey Granite and Smoky Slate.  Not your typical choice of colour for flowers but hey ho!

Starting with a Smoke Slate card base, I have stamped at random on a piece of Whisper White card that has been used as a base layer to this card.  Using Smoky Slate (light and dark) Stampin' Blends, I have coloured in the flowers.  Stampin' Blends are so easy to use to create different tones of colour, and it's nice to do single colour colouring for a change.

I have added a sheet of Vellum over the top to mute the background and added a selection of leaves from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies in both grey and black.

The sentiment comes from the All That You Are Stamp Set and I have used the frame from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies also.

I think this style of card would look great in any colour combination but I am loving the neutral tones of grey for this one!  What do you think?

INTRODUCING ALL THAT YOU ARE STAMP SET

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 24, 2019
Hi all,
I hope you're all having a great week!

I finally got my hands on the new "All That You Are Stamp Set" that is a new Cling mounted set that features in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

This stamp set is EVERYWHERE at the moment and after a little play I can totally see why!

I took inspiration from this card from the very talented Artisan Design Team member, Emma Goddard, AKA The Coastal Crafter who featured this stamp set a few weeks ago, hence why I had to then buy it!

Starting with a  card base of Mossy Meadow Cardstock, I have attached a layer of Crumb Cake Cardstock.  I have stamped the main image using Versamark, added White Embossing Powder and set with a heat tool.  I have then coloured in the whole image using an Aqua Painter with Whisper White ink.  Once dry, I have then coloured in using Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua Painter

The sentiment has been stamped using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.

BOTANICAL BUTTERFLY WATER COLOURING...AGAIN!

Hi all,

I have recently shown you two cards using the Botanical Butterfly DSP that is currently free to anyone who places a qualifying Sale-a-Bration order along with lots more products available.

The DSP is monochrome so is great to use for colouring or teaming with any colour you choose,

For my cards I have used the Watercolour colour Pencils and kept it simple with tones of one colour family per card.  This is the third card and I have used Real Red for the base butterflies and for the single one of top, tones of Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.

On this one I have added a simple splash of Brilliant Red Brusho Pigment ink and lightly spritzed.

The sentiment that you see belongs to the Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set. It is such a powerful sentiment for me and I am lucky to know so many people that this sentiment would be suitable for!

BLOOM BY BLOOM MEETS STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 15, 2019
Hi all,

Bloom By Bloom is here again, and today I have used subtle tones show you just how versatile this set is. Grey and yellow is one of my most favourite colour combinations, it appears in my home and it’s really popular everywhere at the moment!
I have used the stamps to create the background for this card.  I find the best thing when creating background like this is to keep it simple and just stamp! If you think about what colour goes where too much then you are over complicating it and stamping shouldn’t be complicated.
The sentiment on this card comes from the Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set that features in the Spring/Summer catalogue and is one of the new Cling Mount Stamp sets.  Cling Mount is a new style of mount for Stampin’ Up and is a great addition to the various mounts on offer. If you haven’t seen them in action, you can check out the video below for all the info! The sentiments in this set are really quite empowering and I am looking forward to using them to celebrate some special people I am lucky to have in my life!
The sentiment has been stamped using Versa Mark and then heat embossed in White Embossing powder.  I have used the 2” Cirle and Starburst Punches to create the layers and to finish I have circled some Mini Sequin Trim in Silver to add some shine and another texture!
PRODUCTS USED:
  • Cardstock in the following colours: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Whisper White
  • Classic Stampin’ Pads in the following Colours: Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Basic Grey, Grey Granite, Smoky Slate
  • Versamark
  • White Embossing Powder
  • Heat Tool
  • Silver Mini Sequin Trim
  • 2” Circle Punch
  • Starburst Punch

HELLO CUPCAKE ARRIVES AT COFFEE AND CARD!

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 14, 2019
Hi all,

Today I am hosting a Coffee and Card event locally and my lovely customers will be making one of these cards that features the **FREE** Hello Cupcake Stamp Set available during Sale-a-Bration until the end of March only.

I have stamped directly onto the card base with one of the sentiments in the set in the coordinating colour, Mint Macaron (my favourite) and Blushing Bride.

The cupcakes have been stamped onto Whisper White using Smoky Slate for the case and the matching colour for the topping. There are 3 stamps that you use to put the cupcakes together and they work really well with the Stamparatus stamping platform.  The sentiment that I have used on the card comes from the Blow Out The Candles Stamp Set and goes really well with the Hello Cupcake set.

As well as stamping the image on the front of the card, I have stamped the same image and matching sentiment onto the envelope. This is always a lovely touch to your cards! To finish, I have added some sequins from the Subtles Sequin Assortment and drawn a thin line around the edge of the cardstock using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

I really enjoy making cards for my coffee and card sessions and I like to give my customers different options where I can so I think they’re going to like this weeks. Which one would you make?

BUTTERFLIES EVERYWHERE!

in , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 13, 2019
Hi all,

In this years Sale-a-Bration promotion one of the FREE items available are the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Papers   You get 12 sheets of double sided 12” x 12” papers in 6 different designs.  In this set they are brightly coloured on one side and monochrome on the back so they are a great addition to your crafting and they are made to compliment the new Butterfly Gala Bundle that is available in the new Spring/Summer catalogue and is already very popular with customers and social media!

On today’s card I have used one of the monochrome papers and watercoloured the butterflies with Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua Painter. For the background, I have used 1 colour very lightly.  I have then used 3 colours on 1 butterfly that I have cut out and added next to the sentiment.  Before attaching to the card front, I have frayed around the edges with my Paper Snips, and drawn a thin black line with a Stampin’ Write Marker.

I was lucky to be given the Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set at the recent Onstage event for demonstrators and its full of lovely, empowering phrases that are so useful. For this card, to keep in with the monochrome feel, I have heat embossed it onto Black card using White Embossing powder.  For another colour I have added a strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock that has been embossed using  the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, another popular one at the moment!

If you would like these papers, then throughout Sale-a-Bration you can add them for free when placing a qualifying order of £45 in the UK.

PRODUCTS USED:
  • Thick A4 Whisper White Cardstock (for the card base)
  • Basic Black Cardstock
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock

INTRODUCING BLOOM BY BLOOM STAMP SET

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 12, 2019
Hi all,

Today’s card is all about the Bloom by Bloom Stamp Set that is a new Photopolymer Stamp Set in the Spring/Summer catalogue.

The images in this stamp set really do stamp beautifully.  I have used Blueberry Bushell, Call Me Clover and Lovely Lipstick which are colours from the 2018-2020 In-Colour collection.  The colours are really vibrant and suit this stamp set so well.  I find the trick with this stamp set is to use a Stampin’ Mat underneath the card that you are stamping on.
I have used Vellum to mute the colours that I have stamped onto background of the card and then added a flower underneath the sentiment.
The sentiment comes from the Friendly Expressions Stamp Set.  I have heat embossed it in white onto Basic Black Cardstock.  This technique seems to be really popular at the moment on social media and I can see why!

PRODUCTS USED:
  • Thick A4 Whisper White Cardstock (for the card base)

Hi all,

I hope you have all had a great weekend! It’s been lots of fun here in Kent with a special 70th Birthday celebration for one of my team members and of course a very special card was needed!

I put this card together a few weeks ago and actually I am really pleased with it which makes a change for me. Usually I think “oh that’s not good enough” but not this time! I took a while to consider what I wanted to create and although I made it up as I went along it has come out just as I had hoped.

As I wanted to create a very special card, I had browsed Pinterest for a different style of fold and I came across a design by my wonderful Upline, Michelle Last and a creation that she put together some time ago so thank you for the inspiration Michelle! (Click HERE to view the original fold design)

My card here  measures 5.5” square and is made up of two pieces of card folded and attached to reveal a special fold inside! (Scroll down)

I have used the new flower images from the new Tea Together Cling Mount Stamp Set which features in the Spring/Summer catalogue that is available until the end of May 2019.

I have chosen to use Old Olive as the main colour along with Gold, Grey and Black which I think looks really elegant against the white background, along with a lot of techniques throughout the design.

It’s always nice to add something a bit extra to cards and the writing page on this is one of my favourite parts. The flowers look really pretty in the grey and the font on the sentiment makes me wish I could change my handwriting!
