FANCY FOLD ON THE INSIDE!

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 28, 2018
Hi all,

Following on from my last 2 posts, here is another of the cards from a recent training event, this one also using the Petal Palette Stamp Set.

This card uses a plain card base in Old Olive and monochrome stamping which is always a favourite of mine. The original card we were shown was coloured in however I chose to leave this black and white as I love the monochrome look.

However...this card is not as straightforward as it looks....

I love putting cards together that have a different type of fold, especially if it comes as a surprise to the recipient so this card was right up my street!

Again, I have stamped the envelope which is another favourite technique of mine...!

FROM THE HEART

in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 27, 2018
Hi all,

Today I bring to you one of the cards that we made at a recent training event that I attended.

This card uses the Petal Palette Stamp Set that is proving to be a really popular set in the new Spring / Summer Seasonal Catalogue.

To make this card you will need a card base measuring 4, 1/4" x 11, 1/2", folded in half at 5, 3/4".  I have used Thick Whisper White Cardstock for mine.  Add a layer of Basic Black Cardstock that measure 4" x 5, 5/8".
Next, Cut a piece of regular Whisper White cardstock measuring 3/34" x 5, 3/8" and using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp the large flower image in the top right hand corner.  Take the 2, 1/2" Circle Punch to punch out part of the flower.  Using Stampin' Blends add colour to the flower that is showing on the punched circle shape only.

Before attaching to the Basic Black layer, use Old Olive ink to stamp a row of dots, and the sentiment over the top in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Once complete, re-attach to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals to give a raised look.

To finish, stamp the same flower onto the envelope!

PANDA SWAPS

in , , , , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 26, 2018
Hi all,

It's been a really busy week here at the Manor and so I'm only just telling you about my swaps that I made for a team training event LAST WEEKEND!

We get together as demonstrators regularly throughout the year and these are some of my favourite times that I always look forward to and come home with a head full of ideas.

Last weekeng 60 of us got together for a training event which was basically a chance to craft together, laugh together and generally have lots of fun!  My wonderful upline Michelle Last held this event and as usual it didn't disappoint.

One of the "funnest" parts of these events is swapping something you have made with others, meaning that in return for you sharing your project, you get something back in return!  Some of the events that I go to, the swap groups are huge and there are no guidelines so you can literally make anything!  For this event, I joined 2 groups, for 1 I was tasked to make a card using the FREE Party Panda's Stamp Set, and for the other, I was tasked with making a 3D item.

To make my life a little easier, I decided to make my 3D item also with the Party Panda's stamp set, and so when put together it looks a gift with matching card!

Starting with the card, I made an easel stand card.  I used the Party Panda with some monochrome DSP from the Whole Lot of Lovely range coloured in randomly with a Pink Piroutee Stampin Blend to coordinate with the cardstock that I had used also.  The Silver Glimmer Paper was added for a bit of sparkle.

For the 3D item, I made a small treat holder using the 2" x 8" cellophane bags that I filled with mints.  These could be used as place settings on a table, or small thank you gifts at a event.  They were really simple to make using just a strip of cardstock, scored and folded.  To decorate I used pink and white spotty DSP from the Whole Lot of Lovely range, and added a panda to match the card.

Overall, I was really pleased with my swaps and I got some great items in return!

Now to start thinking about my swaps for the next event in April where there will be approximately 600 demonstrators in one room!

Have a great week everyone, I hope you stay warm in this cold weather that we are expecting!

SO MANY HAPPY BIRTHDAYS!

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 17, 2018
Hi all,

It has been a lovely half term week here, lots of time with my girls, and yesterday we had a wonderful day out in Greenwich, London.  A stroll along the river, a wander through the park, lunch, then a trip on the river, just perfect!  We love days out in London and it's so nice showing the girls all the sights!

Today I am sharing with you a quick Happy Birthday card that I have put together using the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set.

For this one, I have stamped Happy Birthday in lines - the best way to achieve this is using a Stamp-a-ma-jigThis is a tool that is so handy and I honestly couldn't craft without - it enables you to line your stamp up before you stamp and get it just right!  This is until the Stamparatus is available!  This is the new stamping platform that Stampin' Up! have launched and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I have used the Starburst Punch in Basic Black, attached with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a flower that I have stamped and cut out from the same stamp set.

To finish, I have added a quick Happy Birthday Banner which has been stamped in Basic Black and attached using Stampin' Dimensionals again.

This stamp set is so versatile, and you will find it in the Spring/Summer catalogue on the same page as the Perennial Birthday Kit which is just fab.  We put this together at a recent class, and the ladies all thoroughly enjoyed the simplicity of the kit and went away very happy that they had 2 cards in a gorgeous decorative box!

Thanks for reading folks, i'm off on a team training event this weekend in Milto Keynes - these are some of my favourite crafty weekends - full of amazing ladies and so much inspiration!  Looking forward to sharing some pictures with you all.

Have a great weekend!

YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY

Hi all,

It's half term week here which means quality time with my girls, lots of fun and no rushing about which also means lots of craft time, hooray!!

For those friends that I get to craft regularly with, they will understand this card better than anyone for it is one of my favourite sayings! It's February 14th and Valentibes Day today and that doesn't just mean telling your husband, wife, or partner how much you love them but also people that mean alot to you. I have known my close crafting group for several years now and I can honestly say that they do make me so happy! When you have a busy life, I think it's so important to have a place or a hobby that you can escape to and for me it is crafting and I am so lucky to be able to craft with such a wonderful group of people who I call my friends . They truly do make me sooooo happy!!

This one was really quick and easy to put together, a little bit of card/vellum layering and thanks to the FREE Happy Wishes Stamp Set and the Stampin' Blends.

You will be seeing this stamp set alot more from me as it is so versatile and I adore the font!! There are so many useful phrases and sayings that make it a great addition to my crafting stash!

I hope you enjoy a lovely Valentine's Day!

BIRDS BIRDS BIRDS!

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 09, 2018
Hi all,

When we attended the most recent Stampin' Up! On Stage event, we were able to preview the brand new Spring/Summer and Sale-a-Bration catalogues which was not only just a little bit exciting but ALOT exciting!

When you attend these events, not only are you given an amazing goodie bag full of exclusive branded merchandise, throughout the day you are given free product including stamp sets!

The set that I have used today is called Bird Banter and was one of the wonderful give aways in November and it was one that so many people fell instantly in love with and you may have seen these little birds on the web bought to life with colour!

I couldn't choose which one to use for the focus of one card, so I have made a whole set of cards using them all!

The cards measure 3" x 3" I have placed them inside one of the Mini Pizza Boxes that I have put together.  These boxes were released in the 2017 Autumn/Winter catalogue and I am so pleased that they have not been retired!  They hold the Whisper White 3" x 3" Envelopes perfectly and make for great little gifts!

On each card, I have stamped each bird along with an extra 'item' and coloured with the new Stampin' Blends which are just perfect for colouring these little guys as they have a fine-nib option for intricate colouring!  Just another reason to love the blends!

For the outside of the box, I have used some DSP from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper collection along with a scalloped square shape of Basic Black cardstock which has been cut using the Layering Squares Framelits Dies  and the large sqaure from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I really enjoyed using this set, and I'm sure it won't be the last time that you see it here!

BUSINESS CARDS HOLDER

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 08, 2018
Hi all,

This morning I'm bringing you a lovely little project that I put together to hold my business cards.

There are so many websites online offering business card designs but as we have so many gorgeous stamps, I tend to print my own, and stamp straight onto them!  I think this is a little more personal, and depending on the time of year, you can 'theme' them to whatever suits!

The Garden in Bloom Stamp Set I have used here has been around for quite some time now but it is still one of my most used sets.  The flowers are a great size and look fab in any colour combination!

Thanks for reading folks!

MULTICOLOURED HEARTS

in , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 07, 2018
Hi all,

Hope you're all enjoying a good week so far!

Today i'm bringing you another card that I have put together using the Heart Happiness Stamp Set.

Coming away from the traditional red look for a love theme card, for this one I have used varying colours using the same image stamped across Whisper White cardstock.

To add a bit of depth, I have stamped and cut out a pink heart shape, and attached to a strip of Basic Black cardstock using Stampin' Dimensionals  I have also swirled some Basic Black Metallic Thread underneath to add a bit of texture (you know how much I love different textures on a card!)

"I Love You" comes from a stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous and has been stamped onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock.  I have used the Tailored Tag Punch to create the banner shape.

If you look closely at the background of this card, you will notice that the edge has a frayed look - I have done this by dragging my scissors along the edges.  Gives a bit of a different look to the usual straight cut edges!

I think this way of presenting a single image is really effective and would look great in any colour combination - maybe your valentine's favourite colour??

Thanks for reading folks, have a great day!

BALLOONS GALORE!!

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, February 05, 2018
Hi all!
I hope you all enjoyed a great weekend!  I had a little bit of crafting time which was much needed and today I bring to you a card that I made for a very dear friend who celebrated her birthday over the weekend!  We managed to get together today to celebrate and as always it was lots of fun!

I always enjoy giving a handmade card, especially ones that have been made for special friends and family.  This one was definitely made and sent with lots of love!

Going in a slightly different direction for me, I have used Wisteria Wonder, not one of my go-to colours but I'm really pleased with how it looks against the craft colour.

I have used Balloon Celebration here as the main event and it never disappoints!  It is such an easy set to use for making really effective cards and with a matching punch you just can't fail!

I have used Timeless Textures Stamp Set to create the background, and have covered with Velum  to create a 'faded' look.

I have cut 2 of the largest Squares from the Layering Squares Thinlits Dies  for the focus area.

The balloons have been stamped onto Very Vanilla and before attaching, I have tied a piece of Silver Metallic Thread to each one.  Once all attached, I have pulled them tight into a bunch and secured with a Mini Glue Dot

The "Happy Birthday" sentiment comes from a stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous and I have used the Tailored Tag Punch to create the banner.  I have cut 2 from Wisteria Wonder Cardstock and layered underneath.  This has been attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Don't forget if you would like to place an order of £45 or more at the moment you get to choose an extra item for FREE!

Thank you for reading folks!
