DO SOMETHING CREATIVE EVERYDAY!

Hi all,

I am really bad at not carrying business cards around with me, so when I get talking to someone about Stampin' Up! and my own little business, I never have anything on me to give to them which is quite embarrassing!

With the start of my coffee and card sessions this month, I knew I had to bring some cards and information to pass to people who I speak to, but where to put them?!

A few years back I was introduced to a great little company called Tinware Direct who sell the cutest little tins, that are perfect for holding all sorts of things.  They are great quality, a brilliant price and are great for decorating.  They even do business card sized tins!

So now, I have a great little tin to put in my handbag (or baby bag these days!) and now it has been decorated, it does the talking for me!

As a crafter, the Crafting Forever Stamp Set is a must have and I think this says it all for me..."Do Something Creative Everyday".  I may lead a very busy life, but I have to do something creative everyday to keep my mind balanced.  After a day of running around after my two girlies, organising the family home, working, shopping, cooking a healthy meal (doesn't always happen) and juggling family life, my go-to relaxation is always time in my craft room, but sometimes life doesn't allow that so my everyday creative option may be colouring with my girls, but it all helps!  Quick little projects like this are also really good as it serves a purpose too!

Hi all,

Welcome to day 3 of my Blow out the Candles Stamp Set product spotlight and my favourite of the trio.

This one features the cake images in the set and some beautiful singles colours.

To create the background behind the image, I have added some ink to a sponge dauber and lightly circled. I have stamped the cake and cake stand image over the top.  The cake stand was easy to colour in using Stampin' Blends. As the cake was coloured in light shades this has been stamped onto Whisper White, coloured in, cut out and attached over the top. I love how the black outline makes the image POP!

I have added some DSP to the background and the piece of Whisper White has been embossed to add another texture to the card.

To finish I have added some sequins, the strip of sentiment and some ribbon to tie the 3 cards together into a set .

This week is a busy crafting week for me with the start of my new Coffee and Card sessions at a local farm shop cafe and I'm preparing for a monster class next week with everyone stamping a stack of 20 Christmas cards to take away with them!

Have a great day, come back soon.

BLOW OUT THE CANDLES STAMP SET SPOTLIGHT

in , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, September 10, 2018
Hi all,

The Stampin’ Up! catalogues aren’t just full of product, they are a great source of inspiration! They showcase each product with a project so that you can het a feel for what it would look like in action. When I get a new stamp set or product, I like to make a few different projects to get a feel for the product and also show you how you can get the most out of it.

This stamp set is really easy to make lots of different samples as the images are a good size and perfect for male, female, children, adults and even those tricky teenagers!

For this one, I chose to use the candle images, some bright orange and black which I think really makes this card POP!
The candles have been stamped using the two-step stamping technique which means I have stamped the candle outline, and then a separate stamp to fill in the image.
If you have spare DSP this is a great technique for using up those strips that you just can’t bear to part with.

The sentiment has been inked using a sponge dauber so that I could add two colours to get the effect that you see. This can also be done using Stampin’ Write Markers, and is a great way to compliment the colour combination you have used on your project.
