Hi all,

Yesterday's card that I demonstrated live on Facebook was the card that I put together for 54 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators to make as part of a weekend event that I attended last weekend.

I had lots of fun putting this card together and it was great to show this technique to my fellow demonstrators.

The Colour Reveal technique is one that really impresses and definitely isn't as difficult as it looks to put together.  Precision is absolutely key and we achieve that really easily with the Stamparatus.  This tool has been around for a little while now and although I thought I wouldn't use it a great deal (but still had to have it) I use it alot more than I ever thought I would and for cards such as these, it is invaluable!

I also put together another card using the same Colour Reveal technique using This Little Piggy...and you can also see this one in action in the video below...

If you would like to watch the video back and see how to create this fun Colour Reveal Card then you can click the video below

I hold my "Watch it Wednesday" sessions every Wednesday evening at 8pm on my Facebook Page and each week we use a different stamp set, theme, technique or colour combinations.  They're lots of fun and I really enjoy hosting them.

I have used the following products and tools to put this project together:

Butterfly Gala Take Two...

in , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, March 07, 2019
Hi all,

As mentioned yesterday, today's cards will have the theme of butterflies!  I have created 4 cards in a set using the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and Butterfly Duet Punch, both of which completely SOLD OUT within the first 2 months of being available in the UK, WOW!

Today's card is using shades and textures of the scrummy Coastal Cabana colour that features in our Brights Collection.  This colour, for some reason, always makes me think of the seaside and makes me feel happy!

I have used Thick A4 Whisper White Cardstock to create the cardbase which measures 10.5cm x 30cm and scored at 15cm.  I have added a top layer of Coastal Cabana Cardstock and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the sentiment feature, I have cut a selection of circles using circle punches, and the sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed.  This sentiment is part of the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and I think it is such a nice way to let someone know you appreciate them.

For the butterflies, I have stamped two sets of each set, one using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Coastal Cabana Cardstock, and Coastal Cabana Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.  The bodies have been stamped once punched out in Tuxedo Black Memento.

I have arranged the butterflies across the front of the card, stuck and then used Tuexdo Black Memento to stamp the antennae to finish.

For the insert of this card, I have cut the same size piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock, and before attaching inside, I have used the Butterfly Duet Punch to cut out the two butterflies at the bottom right hand corner.  Once stuck in the card, I have used my Stamparatus Stampin' Platform to line up the butterfly image inside the apperture and used Tuxedo Black Memento to stamp the images.  Clever!

To finish this card, I have stamped a small butterfly onto the envelope in the matching colour combination!
