DIAGONAL DSP CARD DESIGN WITH LOVELY AND BEAUTIFUL DESIGNER SERIES PAPERS

Today I am sharing some brand new papers from the January - April Mini Catalogue and a great technique for using them on your cards - complete with a FREE Tutorial to download and keep!

I am so excited to get back into my craft room after the festive break and there is LOTS of new products that are inspiring me including the new Lovely and Beautiful 12" x 12" Speciality Designer Series Papers which I have used to create both the cards in this post. 

The Lovely and Beautiful Designer Series Paper is full of soft floral tones with a gold foil accent (the picture doesn't do it justice) and the patterns are really striking!

I like this Designer Series Paper so much that I wanted to use it "sparingly" and this technique is perfect for doing just that!

For my first card, I have used the shade Petal Pink as my main colour and combined it with a flower that is cut from one of the sheets of paper.  

For my second card, I used one of the retro patterns and paired it with shades of Soft Seafoam and Fresh Freesia. 

For the decoration, I created a flower using the Simply Beautiful Dies in shades of Fresh Freesia and gold.
