FLORAL COLOUR CHALLENGE FEATURING THE 12 DAYS OF CRAFTING ADVENT CALENDAR STAMP SET

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, November 06, 2025

Hello and welcome to my blog today!

I have been away from my craft desk for a little while due to some planned surgery but today I made it into my craft room and managed to make a card to play along with a colour challenge!

As I am still in the early stage of my recovery, I am unable to use the die-cutting machine so I was only able to use minimal supplies - but this goes to show, you don't need a lot of materials to make a handmade card!

The color's chosen for this week's challenge were Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink so perfect for flowers!

My starting point was the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Stamp Set which arrived just before my surgery and I have seen lots of pretty projects made with it whilst I have been doom scrolling on Pinterest and social media!

Petal Pink is probably my most used shade of Pink so I knew that it was going to be the main colour on my project, and I have used both the cardstock and ink pad.  You will notice the card base is slightly darker and I have created that effect by adding a layer of Vellum (yes, it's available again!) between the base and the flowers.

Although the dies come within the advent calendar, I'm not strong enough to use the die cutting machine yet so the flowers and leaves have been fussy cut and layered onto the card front.

I really wanted to make the sentiment stand out on this card, and the perfect technique for this is always white heat embossing onto dark coloured cardstock!

To make this card extra special, I stamped the flower image onto the envelope and added a sentiment - it's always nice to receive a fancy envelope in the mail to match your cards isn't it?!

I hope you agree that this card design is quite timeless and can be created with whatever flowers stamps you have and using your favourite colours!
