COLOR FUSERS OCTOBER BLOG HOP

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, October 07, 2024

Hello and welcome to my blog today which features a brand new colour combination as part of the Color Fusers monthly blog hop.

This month's hop features two colours that are firm favourites of mine (Petal Pink and Calypso Coral)....and a third that felt a bit "rogue".  Nevertheless, I am pleased to share my finished project with you all, and I hope that you enjoy "hopping" amongst the demonstrators taking part today...

I absolutely love the new Peaceful Evergreens Bundle, and although this is not a traditional christmas colour palette, it was the first set of projects that I reached for....

I am a huge fan of our Blending Brushes, and the way that you can achieve different tones of the same colour with them, however to create this blended background look, I have used one of the texture images from the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set starting with the darker Calypso Coral Ink at the bottom of the card, followed by the lighter, Petal Pink towards the middle and top.

I think these two colours work really well together to create an ombre style background, and I love the texture that the stamped image has created!

Now....back to that rogue Wild Wheat....to me, it is very close to the colour green, and so it felt right to use it for the trees!  These have been stamped onto both Wild Wheat and White cardstock, and I have used one of the detailed tree dies to add an additional layer which worked to give the card even more texture!

To finish, and bring the card together, I heat embossed the sentiment using White Embossing Powder onto Black card and doesn't it just make all the colours pop?!
