Global Design Project #393 featuring the Zany Zoo!

 

Hello and welcome to my blog today, I hope you are having a great week so far!

For today's post I am entering this weeks Global Design Project which is a gorgeous colour challenge!  These three colours really spoke to me and I hope you enjoy what I have made for you all.

A colour challenge is a great way to inspire your projects, and if you're anything like me then they are a great way of using colours that you wouldn't normally use!  I tend to reach for very similar colours all the time and this really got my creativity flowing!

I have used my new favourite Stamp Set, Zany Zoo and I had a lovely relaxing hour colouring the cute characters in using my Watercolour pencils!

I am a big fan of colouring and my colouring tool of choice is always Watercolour Pencils but used as regular colouring pencils.  I love how you can build the colour up and you can create really vibrant colours!

To work within the colour challenge, I have coloured all the animals in with a Basic Gray colouring pencil (it looks Smoky Slate!) and added touches of Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo!

I have recently started added coloured images to my stamp set cases.  I find that it helps bring the images alive and I have been more creative since doing this.  It also looks fab when you are sharing the stamp set with the creative world!

The card iteself is very simple with just a background of white card and the images added in a line.  I just couldn't choose just one image and I love the finished look here!
