It's been a while since I last joined the Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop and I am excited to join in with the July Showcase hop today.  The showcase hop can be anything you like as it's designed for us to "showcase" whatever we have been working on recently.

So come join us and be inspired!

The Showcase blog hop is  always full of lots of inspiration covering a variety of products, techniques and occasions.  So sit back, relax and follow the hop until you end back here! Don't forget to show your appreciation along the way with a comment or two.

For my "showcase" this month, I am sharing some cards that I made during this weeks' live Youtube demonstration with the Full of Love Stamp Set that has really inspired my creativity recently.  It's quite popular with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators at the moment so you may recognise it...

A great place to start when you get a new stamp set is always to keep it simple, or at least that is how I approach them.  By starting things off simple, it gives you a real chance to see how the stamp inspires you and I don't like to over complicate things too early on!

For the first card in my showcase today, I have kept my card design really simple with just stamps, ink and paper!  I have coloured the image in using Stampin' Blends Pens and added a simple sentiment stamps in black underneath.

I have carried on with the same colour scheme inside the card and I like how this gives that little bit more detail, and its a great way to break up the white space inside the card too.

For the second card in my showcase, I have stepped the card up that little more with the addition of a few extra products and techniques.

I wanted to create a detailed edge to my card front and to create this I have used the new Masking Paper in the 2022/23 annual catalogue.

I was originally planning to leave the card front while with no detail, however becuase of a slight smudge (happy accident), I have added a strip of Basic White Card that I have run through the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it back onto the card front.

Although this wasn't my original intention of this card, I love the final look and the extra texture we get because of that Brick effect.

I created these cards during a recent Youtube Live Stamping session and if you would like to watch the video back, click HERE
