JANUARY TRIP ACHIEVERS BLOG HOP

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, January 17, 2022

I am excited to be taking part in another Trip Achievers Blog Hop this month with fellow Demonstrators from across the globe!

I loved taking part this month and was inspired by so many so I hope you enjoy this month's hop and feel inspired in the same way that I do by this event!

For my project today, I am sharing a project that I put together using the new Blessings of Home Bundle and a colour combination that is really striking!

I don't often use Basic Black card as my base but I was inspired by a technique that I saw one of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Team, Martin Stone share a little while back and have been meaning to try it since! So here goes....

The flowers have been stamped onto Basic White Card, coloured with Stampin' Blends Pens.  After cutting out with the coordinating Flowers of Home Dies, it leaves a white border, but to create the black on black effect, I have used a Basic Black Stampin' Blend Pen to colour around the edges and in the areas where there is white space and then layered onto the card front.

I didn't want to take anything away from the bright flowers, so I kept it simple with the addition of a straight sentiment and some Matte Black Dots embellishments.

I hope you have taken some inspiration from my card today, please feel free to leave a comment if it has, it's always nice to have some feedback!

I have shown how I created this card during a recent YouTube Demonstration which you can watch by clicking on the image below
