GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #325 COLOUR CHALLENGE

 Hi all, 

My first post of 2022 so I want to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR wherever you are in the world!

Over the Christmas and New Year period, I had a complete shut down of social media and closed the doors on my craft room so I could enjoy the festivities with my families without feeling the pull of needing to be somewhere else, or do something else.  It was a breath of fresh air and as much as I missed being creative, I have found it a real struggle to get back into the swing of creating, and sharing.  

It's totally normal for the creative spirit to come and go, and in the past when this has happened I have found craft challenges a real help; they make you look at things from a different perspective and it's just nice to have a starting point.  The Global Design Project is just that...it's a weekly challenge blog that is designed to inspire your creativity and boy do the designers pull it out of the bag every week!

This week's challenge is a colour challenge which I always enjoy as often I tend to find I use the same colour tones!

Now, these are 3 colours that I would not have chosen to put together but I found them really easy to work with and love the finished look of my card design!

Starting with the 3 colours, I have used the fab Blending Brushes to create the background for my card in a gradient style.  The brightness of Polished Pink and Pale Papaya are offset beautifully with the softness of Pool Party.

I wanted to keep the background as the star of my card, so I have used simple monochrome style flowers and stamping for the design and added some additional textures with Vellum leaves and some silver trim.
