Hello and welcome to another Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop!
For the month of August, Demonstrators around the world have created projects based on the theme of Autumn / Winter, or the August to December Mini Catalogue that is full of seasonal products to inspire your creativity.
For my project today, I am sharing a really fun pop up card using the new BE JOLLY STAMP SET which really speaks to my creative mind. I do hope you enjoy it!
Whether you are joining the hop here with me, or have been "hopping" already, a very warm welcome to you here in the UK! Once you are finished reading my post today, click the "next" image at the bottom to move forward onto the next Demonstrator. Don't forget to leave a coment if you feel inspired by what you see!
I will admit that this stamp set jumped out at me on the first browse through the new catalogue. I love a "cutesy" set and I love to colour with different mediums. For today's card I have used Stampin' Blends Pens to colour the images from the stamp set and you will find the colours listed in the product list further down this post.
However...the card didn't start there....of course the main star of this stamp set is Father Christmas but I wanted to show off the other images before we get to see the big man!
I have created a winter style scene using a BLENDING BRUSH and ink from a MISTY MOONLIGHT CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD over BASIC WHITE CARD. When I have built up a dense amount of colour, I have then repeated with ink from a NIGHT OF NAVY CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD lightly over the top. I do love the texture that you get when using the Blending Brushes and it really makes the sky look more authentic. For a touch of sparkle, I have added flecks of glitter from a CLEAR WINK OF STELLA PEN, left to dry and added to my card front.
The snowy layers at the bottom have been created with BASIC WHITE CARD that has been cut using the edgelit die from the INSPIRING CANPY DIES, placed at alternating angles and then embossed with the PAINTED TEXTURE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.
The images have been stamped onto a piece of BASIC WHITE CARD, coloured with STAMPIN' BLENDS PENS, and cut out with my PAPER SNIPS SCISSORS. These have then been layered in and around the snowy layers to create the scene. The sentiment comes from the CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER STAMP SET and has be added to the card with STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS to raise.
Now for the inside...the best part!!
Obviously Father Christmas is missing from the front because he's off delivering the presents....!
More images have been stamped, coloured and cut out and added to the "pop up" panel and I have finished with "Merry Christmas", also from the CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER STAMP SET.
I do hope you have taken some inspiration from my card design. As part of my online class schedule, I am running a "Be Jolly Christmas Colouring Workshop" on Sunday 10th October from 10am - midday. The class will be taking place through pre-recorded content and live sessions with the option to have access to the online content only, receive a kit with or without product options. Booking closes on the 31st August so not long left to sign up!

ReplyDeleteLove this card and your commentary in the post. I can tell it was lovingly made. Beautiful colouring and composition and the surprise pop up that you saved to last is really cute. I didn't really care for this stamp set, in fact it was one of my least favourites from the mini catalogue, however you've had me look at it in a new light. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
