HAPPY BIRTHDAY WITH PEEKABOO FARM

Special people call for special cards so here is a card that I made for my daughters friend who turs 9 this month.  She is a real animal lover so it was an easy decision to choose the new PEEKABOO FARM STAMP SET that is super cute and fun!

This is a great set if you love a spot of colouring and for today's card, I have chosen STAMPIN' BLENDS ALCOHOL MARKERS for the job!  I have chosen the following colours:

• Brick wall - Cinnamon Cider and Smoky Slate
• Horses - Bronze, Ivory and Smoky Slate

I love the versatility of this set and how creative you can be with the brick wall.  For this card, I have stamped both twice onto the card but added some extra detail to the mane...if you look closely you will see that I have raised it slightly onto MINI STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS.  A very quick and effective technique to add some dimension. 

The "happy birthday" sentiments come from the BIGGEST WISH STAMP SET and I have added the "9th" using a retired set of products...numbers are too useful and they look fab on cards like this!

To cover up the vast amount of white space on the background of the card, I have added some speckling using the STAMPIN' BLENDS PENS and finished with a boq tied from LINEN THREAD and some CHAMPAGNE RHINESTONE JEWELS!

This is definitely one of those cards that I am looking forward to giving out, and could easily be switched up with any of the different animal images in the PEEKABOO FARM STAMP SET.
