A CARD FULL OF CLEVER TECHNIQUES!

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, June 30, 2021

I am super lucky to be part of a wonderful team of Demonstrators called the Pinkies which is led by the inspirational Michelle Last and each month she shares a fun technique with her team and this month really spoke to me.  She showcased how to use partial die-cutting on your papercraft projects and it's actually something that I have never come across so it felt fab to learn something new, and spend time with my Pinkies family.  Another wonderful perk of being a Demonstrator.

For today's project, I am sharing a fun fold style card that has been created with the partial die cutting technique and the Layering Circle Dies.  I will be showcasing this fun technique in a Facebook Live Demonstration soon (every Wednesday and Sunday evenings at 8.30pm HERE).

For my card, I have used the Count on Me Stamp Set to create my feature and another technique I have been meaning to try...mirror stamping!  It's super easy and all you need is a Silicone Craft Sheet or a piece of Acetate will work just as well.  To achieve the mirror effect, you stamp your image onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, and then carefully place your cardstock over the Silicone Craft Sheet to pick up the image, clever eh!

And do you like the outfit that the bear is wearing??  I have stamped the image (again) onto a piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper, and using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, I have added lines in to create the outfit.  The patterned paper was originally white with black dots so I have coloured over with a Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad and then adhered onto the original image.  Another cute little technique on this card!

I love how this card has come together and the fact that the sentiments match the way the card flips is just extra impressive (to me anyway ha!).

I'm often asked what tools do I use...well here are the basic tools that I simply couldn't craft without!

Everyone who shops with me will receive a handmade card to keep or share.  However, when shopping online, enter the Host Code below to receive a thank you gift from me next month
