Wow! What a week last week was here at Marsh Manor! Today I am sharing two cards that I made during last week but simply haven't found the time to tell you about...until now!
I have created both of these cards using a really fun technique with our Classic Stampin' Pads to create the patterned paper. There is even a video for you to watch to see exactly how I did it further down this post...and it's super quick and easy!
Starting with half a sheet of Basic White Cardstock, I have "dragged" a selection of ink pads across in alternating directions to create the pattern that you see below.
For the first card design, I wanted to let the patterned paper be the main feature of the card so I have cut a piece to measure 10cm x 14.4cm and added straight to my card front which has been cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock.
I really felt that this colour combination was perfect for using with the Snailed It Stamp Set which I know I have used ALOT since it arrived in the January to June Mini Catalogue but they really are super cute!
The sentiment has been heat embossed onto Basic Black Cardstock with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and I have added the little cake from the Party Puffins Stamp Set.
For the second card, I have added my text over the patterned paper using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped in a repeating style pattern. This gives the paper a completely different look doesn't it?
And of course to continue with our theme of today's cards, I have added some more of those cute snails that I have coloured with a selection of Stampin' Blends Pens and the additional sentiment comes from the Count on Me Stamp Set.
I'm so pleased with the overall style and look of these cards and I think the patterned paper looks really unique and would look fab in any colour combination!
