I love creating with new products and today I am sharing with you 2 very different card designs that I have created using the new Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set that is featured in the new 2021-22 Annual Catalogue.
I created both of these card designs during a recent Facebook live demonstration which is now available on my Youtube channel to watch back.
Starting with a very simple layout, I have stamped the large image from the stamp set and coloured with Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends Pens, using the Colour Lifter Pen to create a soft effect on the image.
For my second card design, I have CASE'd a technique from the lovely Jo Blackman who recently shared this technique with this stamp set and it looks amazing!
For this card design, I have heat-embossed the large image from the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set using White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Once dry, I have used the white Watercolour Pencil to colour each image in very softly. This takes gives you a better canvas to then add your colour onto. I have added a layer of colour with a Rich Razzleberry Watercolur Pencil which I have developed the colour using a Water Painter. Once dry, I have added fresh pencil strokes to shade the petals and then repeated on the leaves but with an Old Olive Watercolour Pencil.
My go-to colouring tool is usually Stampin' Blends Pens so it was lovely to use the Watercolour Pencils to create a soft colouring effect on the Crumb Cake Cardstock and I think the colours are suited very well to this also.
To bring my card together, I have used a layer of Basic White Carsdstock that has been shaped using the scallop edge die from the Hand Penned Petals Suite, and added a heat-embossed sentiment onto Basic Black Cardstock.
