Dino Days is such a fun stamp set and we will be saying farewell to it at the end of this current catalogue.  It coordinates with the Dino Dies and I love making those dinosaurs come to life with different colours and designs.

For this post, I have used a really simple but effective paper piecing technique using strips of coloured cardstock to create bright backgrounds for my cards.  You can watch how I created these designs from scratch over on my Youtube channel.

Starting with a piece of Basic White card, I have added 1cm strips of coloured cardstock in a repeating pattern (starting with the darkest shade).

For the first card, I have cut a strip measuring 4.5cm x 14.9cm to use as my background piece and layered one side with a strip of Basic Black Cardstock

The second card has a strip measuring 5cm x 14.9cm, and layered both sides with Basic Black Cardstock

For the third card, I have used the Layering Circle Dies to cut two circles and mount together.

And the last card was the remaining piece of paper piecing that I had left over.  I have trimmed it down and added a layer of Basic Black Cardstock to mount.

I really enjoyed creating these cards and the paper piecing technique can be used in every colour combination you can think of and for any occasion!

I'm often asked what tools do I use...well here are the basic tools that I simply couldn't craft without!
