ORNATE STYLE IS REDUCED TO JUST £8!!

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, April 26, 2021

I cannot believe that the Ornate Style Stamp Set is reduced to just £8 as part of the Last Chance Sale!!

This is such a versatile stamp set that creates beautiful background images and is also super fun to colour.

For today's post, I have used it to create two similar style cards with some of the 2019-21 In-Colours that are soon retiring also!

I created both of these cards during a recent Facebook Live demonstration which you can watch back HERE.

For the first card, I have used Purple Posy Cardstock for my card base, and added a smaller layer that I have heat-embossed the main image onto with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  I love this soft look and it is a perfect match for the soft purple colour.  I am really going to miss this in-colour when it leaves us in a few weeks!

For my added detail to this card, I have used the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set (also retiring and reduced to £16.80 in the Last Chance Sale!)  To keep with the embossing theme, I have used the same White Stampin' Emboss Powder but onto Basic Black Cardstock.  I have trimmed it into a single banner and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The smaller flower is another image from the Ornate Style Stamp Set and this time I have stamped it onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured with Purple Posy and Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends pens.

To finish, I have added a bow tied from Linen Thread and some Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets

I really like the soft colour palette of this card mixed with the monochrome!

For the second card, I have used Seaside Spray as my base colour; this time stamping onto the top layer of card with the coordinating Seaside Spray Classic Stampin' PadThis is a favourite technique of mine and you would think that using the same colour ink wouldn't look like this but it really is a simple way to add tones of the same colour together!

For my added detail, I have cut a strip of Basic White card and used another sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday's Stamp Set across at different intervals using Seaside Spray again.

I have embossed the same sentiment onto Basic Black Card using White Stampin' Emboss Powder, cut down into a simple banner and attached; another great way of making a sentiment stand out and one of my signature techniques!

To finish, I have added two small flowers that I have coloured with Purple Posy and Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends pens

I really do love the style of these two cards and it shows that you can do more with this stamp set than just colour it in!

To watch the replay of how I made these two cards, I have added the demonstration to my Youtube Channel which you can watch below.  Please don't forget to click subscribe to receive notifications of future demonstrations and tutorials from me.
