SWEET ICE CREAM GOES SO WELL WITH SPOTS

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 22, 2021

Today I am sharing a super fun card that I have made using the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set and one of my favourite techniques to create a dotty background with Sponge Daubers!

Starting with a base of Thick Basic White card, I have added my dots with ink from a Melon Mambo Ink Pad and a Sponge Dauber.  This is such a simple technique but I just love it.  The texture from the Sponge Dauber looks fab too!  I have added extra detail with my dots by drawing a circle inside each dot with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker

For the main feature of my card, I have used the same Melon Mambo Ink Pad to stamp my ice lolly, with both first and second generation ink to get the definition between the stamps.

To finish, I have added a layer of Basic Black card underneath, added my sentiment and used the same Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to draw a thin line around the edge of my white layer.

This is one of those designs that would look fab in any colour!  You can purchase the stamp set as part of a bundle with a fun punch to cut out the ice creams which are part of this stamp set.  Click HERE for more information.
I'm often asked what tools do I use...well here are the basic tools that I simply couldn't craft without!
