INK STAMP SHARE MARCH SHOWCASE BLOG HOP

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 13, 2021

Hello and welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase Blog Hop for March!  This blog hop is all about...whatever we want!  I love that as Demonstrators we are all so very different and this is a great chance for us to showcase what we are feeling inspired by in our creations right now, and for me it's the Hot Dog Stamp Set that is featured in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue!

I hope you enjoy hopping through each of our posts today and that it brings you some creative inspiration. Once you have read my post today, click the next button further down this post to move forward to the next Demonstrator.

The Hot Dog Stamp Set  is so super cute and it is full of adorable Dachshund images and cute sentiments that work so well together.  My inspiration behind this stamp set definitely comes from our family pet, Dave the Dachshund!  He is almost 2 and brings us so much joy we couldn't imagine life without him now!

For my design today, I have started with a simple Thick Basic White card base that I have added some Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper to.  Starting with a piece measuring 9.5cm x 13.9cm, I have made 4 cuts at diagonal angles and then pieced back together on the card front.

Not wanting to take any attention from the DSP background, I have added my centre piece which is a die-cut scallop rectangle that I have cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Onto this, I have stamped and coloured my Dachshund using Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends, and added my sentiment.

And finally, to bring it all together, I have created the balloon using some Linen Thread and added it to my card so it looks as though the Dachshund is holding it in his mouth, clever!

To watch how I created this card from scratch, click the Facebook Live replay below to watch back.  The video is available on my Youtube channel so why not subscribe and you will be notified of future demonstrations and tutorials from me!
