INK STAMP SHARE MARCH BLOG HOP ABOUT THE BOYS!

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 27, 2021

Hello and welcome to the Ink Stamp Share April Blog Hop which is all about the boys!

Male cards are typically the cards that most people tend to say they find the trickiest and I always love it when Stampin' Up! give us a new product that is perfect for those wonderful men in our lives!  In the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue, Stampin' Up! have given us the Well Suited Suite of products which is perhaps the most perfect set of products I have seen in my time as a Demonstrator for men!

I have created a whole set of cards using the Handsomely Suited Stamp Set for today's Blog Hop!

This set of products really is so incredibly versatile and I have really enjoyed creating with it so far!  I have chosen a colour palette of yellow and grey for my cards today, and of course a splash of black and white!
I have put a couple of these cards together during a Facebook Live demonstration, which you can watch back HERE.

Starting with the ties image, I have stamped them onto a selection of Designer Series Papers and cardstock, cut around and added ink from Sponge Dauber around the edge.  This is a great technique for adding extra definition and detail to your images, and for something like this makes them stand out against the background that little more.

For the second card in my set, I have used the bow tie image, stamped onto some of the Peony Garden Designer Series Papers with a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad, cut around and added to the card front.  Before adding them to the card front, I have added extra detail around the edges with a Sponge Dauber and ink from a Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad, and shaped with my Bone Folder

I love how the bow ties look with this extra detail!

The next card has been CAS'D from the wonderful Emma Goddard from the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team.  I have stamped a piece of Basic White card with the tie image so that they are in different directions, and in a combination of Bumblebee and Smoky Slate colours.  I have coloured the ties in with the coordinating Stampin' Blends Pen.

I have even added extra detail to the inside of this card!

Using a similar technique, this time I have used one of the bow tie images to stamp in alternating directions, and coloured around each one with a Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends PenThe sentiment on this card comes from the A Good Man Stamp Set which compliments the Well Suited Suite really nicely.

You will notice I have trimmed the edge of the scallop rectangle off, and I have used it inside the card!  I have coloured it in with a Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend pen to match the front of the card.

And of course, I couldn't make a set of cards without using the Suit and Tie DiesFor this one, I have added a small section of the 3D suit and tie, and added some of the 2020-2022 In-Colours Designer Series Paper to bring in that Bumblebee colour!

The Well Suited Suite is the theme of my April Class and you can find out more information by clicking the image below. My class kits are available for delivery throughout the UK and there are even options to add in product and get the class for FREE!  Click the image below to book your place
