INK BLENDING WITH BRILLIANT WINGS DIES

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 09, 2021

I put this card design together during a Facebook Live demonstration on Sunday and it was one of those cards that didn't turn out the way you pictured when you started but in a good way!  You can watch the replay over on my Youtube channel to see what I did to create this design.

I have used the Brilliant Wings Dies along with an ink blending technique that I have CASE'd from a fellow Demonstrator!

Starting with a card base cut from Gray Granite Cardstock, I have cut another layer of Gray Granite Cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm.  Using Blending Brushes, I have added a layer of Pretty Peacock Ink around the edge so that there is just a small area in the centre of the card that stays light in colour.  Around the edge of the card, I have then added another layer of ink using the Blending Brushes; this time from a Night of Navy Ink Pad

I have bought touches of white to my background with some white heat embossing, and I have used one of the Brilliant Wings Dies to cut the small holes in the card so that the Basic White Cardstock from underneath shows through.

To bring my card together, I have added my die-cut butterflies from the Brilliant Wings Dies and added a heat embossed sentiment onto Basic Black Cardstock

As I mentioned earlier, you can watch how I put this card together over on my Youtube channelClick the image below to watch and subscribe to future tutorials.

I'm often asked what tools do I use...well here are the basic tools that I simply couldn't craft without!
