#FEBRUARYCREATIVEPROMPTCHALLENGE DAY NUMBER 9 IS ABOUT A PUNCH

Hello and welcome to my blog today, 

Today I am sharing a set of cards that I have made with a super subtle colour palette and some of my favourite products; PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIESS, and showcasing the SMALL BLOOM PUNCH for today's #februarycreativepromptchallenge 

Starting with a slimline card base, I have added a layer of BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK that I have splashed some ink across with a BASIC BLACK STAMPIN BLEND PEN.  This is one of my go-to techniques for breaking up a large blank space and it's super simple to do!  Simply flick the pen over the cardstock, using the lid to push against.  The closer to the page you are, the bigger the splashes!

Next, I have used the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES to cut out the letters to spell "FRIEND" from BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK, and added ink to the bottom of each letter using a SPONGE DAUBER and ink from a TUXEDO BLACK MEMENTO INK PAD.  This creates a really delicate ombre effect and helps make the letters stand out from the card base.  On one card I have stuck the letters down completely flat, and on the card with the pink flowers, I have stuck the letters down using FOAM ADHESIVE SHEETS.  I think I prefer the look of the pink flower card as the letters are a little more defined. 

To add further sentiment to my cards, I have used the FAMILY PARTY STAMP SET and heat embossed them using WHITE STAMPIN' EMBOSS POWDER onto BASIC BLACK CARDSTOCK.  I have trimmed around the sentiments before adding to my card. 

I have created the flowers with the SMALL BLOOM PUNCH and before adding to the card, I have given them some texture by screwing them up! To finish, I have added some FROSTED & CLEAR EPOXY DROPLETS that I have added colour to with the BASIC BLACK STAMPIN BLENDS PENS. 

To finish, my card front, I have added a bow that I have tied from LINEN THREAD to a small banner that I have cut from the CLASSIC LABEL PUNCH!

Inside the card, I have added a little more detail and I think it brings these cards together really well. I love the simplicity of these cards when actually there is alot more to it!
