#FEBRUARYCREATIVEPROMPTCHALLENGE DAY 24 | WHITE

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator, February 24, 2021

Day 24 of the #februarycreativepromptchallenge is all about "white" and I am sharing a card that I put together during my Facebook Live demonstration on Monday this week.  The replay is now available to watch on my YouTube channel HERE.

For this card, I have used the A Touch of Ink Stamp Set that is currently FREE when you place an order for £90 or more until the 28th February.  This photopolymer stamp set is a really special product as not only are there 2 sheets of stamps in that little case, but the images are so beautiful too!  As well as outline images that are hand drawn, there are in-fill images making it super simple to create a gorgeous finished project!

I am a HUGE fan of white embossing so for me this challenge had to showcase my love of that and I have used embossing in two different ways on this card.

Starting with a layer of Vellum, I have heat embossed the leaves all over using White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Onto the back of that sheet that is now embossed, I have used Old Olive Stampin' Blends Pens to add some colour to those leaves.  Because Vellum isn't porous, the Blends leave an almost water colour effect and I just love the delicate look of how the ink shows through on the Vellum!

I have used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the sheet of Vellum to the card front as it dries completely clear.  I have added small dots to the un-embossed areas so not to alter the colouring.

Once attached to the card front, I have added a die-cut shape that I have cut from Basic White Cardstock using the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I have attached this to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to raise.

To continue with the embossing theme for this card, I have stamped one of the sentiments from the Bloom and Grow Stamp Set onto Basic Black Cardstock using White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I have cut this into a banner and attached to the card so it overlaps the label.

To finish, I have added the leaves that I have heat embossed onto Basic White Cardstock, added some colour with a Sponge Dauber and cut around with my Paper Snips.

As I mentioned earlier, this card was put together during a recent Facebook Live event and you can watch the replay on my YouTube channel.  Click the replay image below to watch. Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any of my future tutorials!
