BACKGROUND STAMPING WITH BASKET OF BLOOMS

Hello and a very warm welcome to my blog

Today I am sharing a card design that I have made using the BASKET OF BLOOMS STAMP SET and a fun background stamping technique!

I created this card during a Facebook Live demonstration, and you can watch the replay on my You Tube channel right HERE 

For this card design, I have kept the colour palette super simple with the following colours: 

I love how these colours all work so well together, and the great thing about using a combination of coloured cardstock and Stampin' Blends gives you really different tones of the same colours to bring it all together.  

For the background of my card, I have stamped the selection of single flower and leaf images onto the BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK using a BASIC GRAY CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD.  This is a great colour for muted stamping and for when you want more of a subtle effect. 

Once stamped, I have then coloured around the images using the light shade of the MINT MACARON STAMPIN' BLEND.  

To create the main focus section for my card, I have added layers of cardstock that I have cut with my trimmer and die-cut using the LAYERING SQUARES DIES, and added a stamped and coloured vase also from the BASKET OF BLOOMS STAMP SET.  To bring the vase of flowers together, I have added a selection of flowers layered around the vase. For a bit of sparkle, I have added some BASIC RHINESTONE JEWELS to the flower centres. 

To finish, I have added my sentiment which comes from the ITTY BITTY BIRTHDAYS STAMP SET which I have heat embossed with WHITE STAMPIN' EMBOSS POWDER onto SHADED SPRUCE CARDSTOCK. 

I do love the simple colours on this card, and although there is alot going on, it doesn't feel too busy.  What do you think?
