DECEMBER THE 1ST AND ADVENT IS HERE!

I cannot believe it is the 1st December.  For me, this year has whizzed past in the blink of an eye despite the whole Covid pandemic. 

1st December means many things but mainly the start of Advent which I am a huge fan of! This year, I have created my own design using the Trimming the Town Designer Series Papers and the Christmas Countdown Project Kit.  

This kit was a product that carried over from last years Winter Catalogue and I so wanted to change it from last years design so there was only one choice of product for me.  I have used images from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Papers to decorate each individual box, along with die-cut numbers from the Playful Alphabet Dies.  

Each box front has been covered with 5" DSP squares that I have used the 1" Circle Punch (sadly retired now) to cut a semi circle in the top.  Onto the front, I have added a Whisper White circle that have been die cut from the Stitched Shapes Dies, and then arranged the display of houses, sentiments and numbers onto. 

The kit is a plain square but the little houses are super addictive to fussy cut around so I have created an additional scene on the top. 

I loved the design of this kit and it is super traditional, but changing it up a bit has been so fun and I love the comparision!

This advent calendar will sit on my desk in my craft studio and I cannot wait for the yummy treats that I have filled it with in the run up to Christmas!
