Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop
This is one of my favourite hops as it showcases demonstrators from around the world! If you are following today's hop then you would have just visited the talented Rochelle Laird-Smith from Australia.
Today we are all sharing projects that have been created with the theme of winter / holidays, and what a showcase it has been!
My card has been created using the gorgeous In the Pines Bundle of products that feature in this years 2020 August - December Mini Catalogue. This is a recent purchase for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed creating so many different projects using both the In the Pines Stamp Set and the Pine Woods Dies. Both products are super versatile and easy to use!
To create my card, I have stamped a selection of trees onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Mossy Meadow Ink. On the card it looks as though I have used different colour inks but actually I haven't. To achieve this ombre effect, I have stamped the same image 3 times without re-inking the stamp in between. This gives the effect that some trees are in the distance.
I have used a Sponge Dauber with Sahara Sand Ink to add ink to the edges of the card to give the distressed look which I think really suits the theme and colours that I have used on this design.
I have added a die-cut Christmas tree to the front of the card. These are in fact two separate dies that I have cut from Mossy Meadow Cardstock. Before attaching the detailed die to the plain one, I have used a Sponge Dauber to add some Mossy Meadow Ink to it, thus making it a tone darker.
To complete this card design, I have added a layer of Mossy Meadow Cardstock to the card base that I have embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, added some Linen Thread tied in a bow.
For the sentiment, I have die-cut the word "Joy" from the Joy Dies, and added a stamped sentiment from the coordinating Peace & Joy Stamp Set.
Thank you so much for following our hop today, I hope you have enjoyed my design.
