STAMPERS SHOWCASE OCTOBER HEAT OR DRY EMBOSSED TECHNIQUE BLOG HOP

Hello and welcome to my blog,

Today I am taking part in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop for October. This month's hop is all about the wonderful technique of embossing! If you are following the hop today then you would have joined me from the talented Vickie Kello all the way on the other side of the world in Australia! So thrilled to have you hopping along with us today.

For my card design today, I have included a fab dry embossing technique using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder after I have stamped and coloured the images shown.

The main image on my card comes from the Joyful Holly Stamp Set that features in the August - December Mini Catalogue. This is a two-step stamp set that has both outline and infill images to make stamping even easier. I, however have stamped my image in a light ink colour, Sahara Sand and coloured with Stampin' Blends Markers for a more natural finish. This image has been stamped onto Whisper White cardstock that I have coloured in with a light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend to give a vintage feel to the design.

Once coloured, I have run the cardstock through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. This really does make the cardstock look like material and is such a lovely texture.

To finish, I have used the Medium Daisy Punch to cut the two semi-cirlces that you see where I have tied the Braided Linen Trim around and added a sentiment from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Papers, and finished with two Gilded Gems.

Below you will see an alternative to this card where I have kept the Whisper White cardstock plain behind my stamping for a slightly different design and finish.
