Hello and welcome to my blog,
Today I am sharing with you a card that I have created with the Joyful Holly Stamp Set that features in the August - December Mini Catalogue.
Whilst this stamp set is designed with outline and in-fill images for a two-step stamping effect, I have chosen to stamp my image wihth a Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad and then coloured my image in with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin' Blends to give the no-outline effect.
My image has been created on Whisper White Cardstock that I have added to a layer of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock after I have frayed all the edges and curled the top right corner. I am a big fan of texture on my cards so this is a great technique to use to add some natural texture.
Once attached, I have added a small banner of Sahara Sand Cardstock that I have cut using the Classic Label Punch, a bow tied from Linen Thread and secured with a staple.
To finish my card design, I have added a simple sentiment from the same stamp set and some splashing with a dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend.
I was quite taken with this technique and I have created a different design with an embossing folder. Come back here on Monday where I will be sharing this other design as part of the Stampers Showcase October Blog Hop.
