INSPIRE CREATE STAMPING CHALLENGE #075

Hello and welcome to my new blog post.  

Today I am sharing with you a new design that I have put together for the next Inspire Create Stamping Challenge.

Challenge number 75 here at Inspire Create is all about the sketch meaning that I have created my card with the sketch below in mind for the layout of my card.  Sketches are a great way to approach your projects and I love to see how everyone interprets these so differently.  

For my card design, I have used the main image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and coloured in with Stampin' Blends.  I recently saw another Demonstrator, Jo Blackman create a stunning card with this colouring technique and I just had to have a go.  For a first attempt, I am pretty pleased with how the image looks and will definitely be trying this with other images.  

For my colour palette, I have used a selection of yellows and browns for my traditional sunflower look.  Click the colour buttons below to find out what products are available in those colours.  

To complete my card, I have added extra detail with a heat-embossed sentiment (from my favourite Blossoms in Bloom stamp set), some Bumblebee Gingham Trim tied in a bow and some transparent Flowers For Every Season Gems.

For the outside:

• Whisper White cardstock base measuring 14.9cm x 21cm, scored at 10.5cm and folded in half.
• Bumblebee cardstock measuring 5cm x 10.5cm 

For the inside: 

• Bumblebee cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm 
• Whisper White cardstock measuring 9.5cm x 13.9cm
