INSPIRE CREATE STAMPING CHALLENGE #073 FANCY FOLD

Hello and welcome to my blog today, 

Today I am sharing with you a fancy fold card for the Inspire Create Stamping challenge #073 and a super easy design that you can replicate with any stamps and colours. 

For this card I have used a standard C6 card base cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock.  The card front, I have folded in half back on itself to create the fancy fold addition.  

I have cut two circles from the Layering Circles Dies; a scallop cut from Whisper White Cardstock, and a plain circle cut from Subtles 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, layered together and added to the fold so that it sits in the middle of the card front but is only attached to the folded strip. 

This is a great technique for adding a different fold to your cards and would look great with any shape added to the fold!

I have kept the colour combination super simple; crumb cake with the addition of a colour from our Subtles Collection with the DSP and some stamping. 

The flower image comes from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set; the "friend" sentiment from the Well Said Stamp Set and I have die-cut the word "thanks" from the Well Written Dies from Basic Black Cardstock.  To make this stand out, I have layered together 3 pieces of the cardstock to give it more depth.  

I have added some speckles to the crumb cake strip using a Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend and the dots along the right hand side of the Whisper White piece come from the Pattern Play Stamp Set.
