HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHERISHED FRIEND WITH BLOSSOMS IN BLOOM

Hi all,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather was really dreary here so we had a lovely indoors weekend, pottering around the house and I think we all needed it!

Today I held my weekly Coffee and Card session virtually on Facebook and I used the new Blossoms in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set to create a lovely birthday card. Click HERE to watch the replay on Facebook, or HERE to watch the replay on You Tube.

The main image in this stamp set is very large, and you will need the largest Acryllic block to mount this on to. As it is a Photopolymer stamp, I have also used a Stampin' Mat underneath my cardstock for some added sponging when I stamp

You will notice quite a difference in the colour of the main image on these cards; they are the same colour, Highland Heather, however I have used first generation ink on the darker card, and second generation on the lighter card with some added sponging around the flower centres.

Using second generation ink really brings out the definition on this image and I love the added tones of Highland Heather with the sponging.

I have added additional stamped images around this in Blackberry Bliss, Pool Party and Sahara Sand with a number of the other images from the stamp set.

For the sentiment, I have used a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that I have die-cut using one of Tasteful Labels Dies. I have added this to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals so that one end of the banner overhangs the edge. I would usually snip this off with my scissors, but instead I have folded it round onto the back of the card front.

I have added a few extra images from the Blossoms In Bloom Stamp Set that I have cut around with my Paper Snips.

The sentiment, 'Happy Birthday' comes from the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set and the 'Cherished Friend' comes from another new stamp set; Lovely You.

To finish my card for today, I have added a piece of Whisper White Cardstock inside the card that I have stamped in the same pattern as the front but in the bottom corner only.

I have been unable to put this stamp set down all weekend and I'm sure I will be using it alot more over the next few weeks and months. Looking forward to showing you how the stamps set works with the coordinating die set too!
