GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #220 CASE THE DESIGNER

With all this talk of Coronovirus everywhere you turn at the moment, I'm trying to escape to my craft desk as much as possible as it really feels like an escape right now. My children are still in school however I'm not sure how long that will continue for so in some ways life feels quite normal...until I look at social media, turn the TV or radio on or talk to anyone.

A great way to carry on crafting is to look at challenge blogs to give you a reason to craft and one of my favourite challenges is the Global Design Project which runs different challenges each week and is always a great source of creative inspiration and escape!

This week we have a Case the Designer Challenge and this can be interpreted so differently so please check out the designs that other crafters have come up with for us all. You can click on the image below to go straight to the post.

My interpretation of this design is very much using the same layout that Connie has used and it's such a simple way to approach any card. I have used a simple strip of Whisper White Cardstock for my focal strip that I have added some flowers from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Papers that have been cut out using the FREE Small Bloom Punch.

These designer series papers are available while stocks last until the end of March only and are really fab as they coordinate with a number of punches and make is super easy to create cute projects with.

I have added a layer of Basic Gray Cardstock underneath this strip before attaching it to the card front.

The sentiment and banner come from the FREE Tags in Bloom Stamp Set that is available as part of the 2nd Sale-a-Bration release of products. The tag actually coordinates with the Label Me Lovely Punch too!

I am really pleased with the clean look this card has. Sometimes it is easy to fill as much space as you can but one of my favourite phrases is "don't be afraid of the white space"!
