Another new feature for 2020 is #simplestamping on Sunday and will focus on the basic stamping techniques. Every now and then it is great to take things right back to the beginning and remember than you only need stamps, ink and paper to make a beatiful card. It's easy to think that a card isn't good enough unless you have stamping, die cutting, embossing, heat embossing, embellishments, ribbon and more but simple is often the best way.
I was initially drawn to Stampin' Up! because of the clean look to projects and that is what #simplestamping is going to showcase.
Today's card has been put together using a Whisper White Notecard that measures 5" x 3.5" and can be purchased in a bundle of 20 for just £6.50. These are a great tool to have in your stash, and an absolute must for any crafter.
I have used the row of poppies image from the NEW Painted Poppies Cling Stamp Set to stamp across the card front in black ink.
Once dry, I have used the small ink splash image from the same stamp set and stamped over the poppies using Classic Stampin' Pads in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Red,
The black banner at the bottom of the card measures 0.5" x 5" and before attaching to the card, I have stamped the sentiment using a Versamark Ink Pad, added some White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set with a Heat Tool.
Heat embossing is a great way to add another texture to your cards, and one of my favourites at the moment is white on black as it really makes the stamping pop!
