Blessed to be your Friend....

Hi all,

I hope you are all having a great week!

For today's card I have used the Inspiring Iris Photopolymer Stamp Set to create the floral image and the words come from the To a Wild Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set.    Both of these sets are from the two-step stamping range of stamps meaning that you have outline images and additional in-fill stamps to add futher detail.  They are lots of fun and I really enjoyed putting this card together.

I have created the watercolour wash using a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper, a Crumb Cake Classic Ink Stampin' Refill and an Aqua Painter.  I find the trick with this technique is to have a piece of scrap tissue and a Heat Tool handy to avoid excess ink spills and to soak up any unwanted excess ink.  Oh and be prepared to get a little messy!

I have stamped the Iris outline image using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad and used the in-fill stamps in Highland Heather for the flower head and Garden Green for the leaves.  I have cut this out using the large oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

I have attached a strip of Vellum across the lower part of the card, and added the word "Blessed" that has been stamped using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad and cut around.  To finish I have stamped "To be your friend" straight onto the card front.

The great thing about both of these stamp sets that I have used is that the colour combinations are endless!  You don't have to stick to traditional colours for the flowers and it's always nice to see the different styles.

I have used the following products and tools to put this project together:
