Welcome to the new challenge over at Inspire Create Challenges and we are running with the theme of "Birthday" for number #048. This theme is WIDE open to so many different projects and it is the number 1 reason that people make cards to send so it's a great one to enter! The card that I am showing you today is not only my entry for this challenge but also one of the designs that I made for my monthly card class in July.
The card base that I have used comes from the Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards & Tin which is a stunning new product that is available as part of the Bird Ballad Suite. Not only do you get a gorgeous tin, but included in the tin are 12 blank laser cut notecards and envelopes to decorate as you wish!
For the card class, I created 5 different designs for people to use as an example to follow, and I will be showcasing these designs over the next few days as we also decorated the tin!
For this card, I have used a piece of Seaside Spray Cardstock which I have attached to the behind of the laser-cut card front. I have cut a circle of Very Vanilla Cardstock using the 2" Circle Punch. I have stamped the sentiment "Birthdays are the best days" using Memento Ink. This sentiment comes from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set.
The flower that you see has been cut from a piece of Bird Ballad DSP and I have included one inside the card, and on the envelope for that extra special detail!
