Inspire.Create.Challenge #046 | New In Colour Challenge

Hi all,

The time has come to talk about the next Inspire Create Challenge and #046 is all about the new 2019-2021 In Colours which are shown below.

In recent years we have been given 5 bright and vivid in colours to add to our colour collections so it has been really refreshing to be given these lovely subtle tones....

I have kept my design really simple and used the ink pads to add colour to Whisper White Cardstock using Sponge Daubers. This is a great technique for getting different tones of the inks and using as little or as much colour as you wish.

For the background of my card front, I have cut out Whisper White Cardstock using the Tailored Tag Punch. Using each colour in turn, I have added ink around the edges of the shapes only. I have then attached them individually to the card front leaving a thin border of white between the shapes.

The butterfly (from the Summer Impressions Dies) has been die-cut in Whisper White Cardstock and in the same way, I have added sections of each colour to the butterfly. This has been attached to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that has been cut out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I have finished with a simple sentiment from the Floral Essence Stamp Set.
