Inspire.Create.Challenge #045 | Embossing Theme

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, June 12, 2019
Hi all,

Welcome to my first ever post as Design Team Member for the Inspire.Create Challenge.  I have regularly followed and entered the challenges on this blog and have even been chosen as the winner on a couple of occasions!

Challenge #045 has the theme of Embossing. There are so many different styles of embossing but whichever one you use always adds a great effect to your projects.  My favourite is definitely heat embossing with White Stampin' Emboss Powder so that is what I have themed by card on for you all today.

My card is not only themed around Embossing but also the brand new 2019-21 In-Colour, Seaside Spray which I think it my favourite although tomorrow it will most probably change as they are all stunning!

I have also used the BRAND NEW stamp set called Daisy Lane.  This stamp set is going to be really popular as it coordinates with the Daisy Punch that has been around for a while.  If that wasn't exciting enough, there is a NEW Medium Daisy Punch which is available to purchase as a bundle with the stamp set.

To make this card I have stamped the new Medium Daisy onto Seaside Spray Cardstock using Versamark. I have added White Stampin' Emboss Powder and used a Heat Tool to set.

The white banner underneath has been attached directly onto the card front and I have stamped the sentiment "thank you so very much" which comes from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set.  I wanted to mute the black ink that I have stamped the sentiment in so I have covered with a piece of Vellum.

To finish, I have stamped two large Daisy images using Seaside Spray Classic Stampin' Pad and cut out with the Daisy Punch.  These have been layered together so the petals fit together and attached to the edge of the card so that some overhangs and I have cut the excess off.

What do you think?  If you would like to enter this challenge, be sure to follow the guidelines listed HERELooking forward to seeing all the entries!

I have used the following products and tools to put this project together:

  1. Very, very pretty card, Stacey! I love mixing elements of both the large daisy and the stamp of the medium daisy. Very nice also to tone down the sentiment in black by using vellum (which just happens to be very in vogue right now. Great job!
