Say hello to A Good Man....

One of the most popular stamp sets in the current catalogue has got to be Beautiful You. This stamp set features images of ladies and lovely sentiments so it was about time that Stampin’ Up! give us so,etching similar for men and boy have they pulled it out of the bag!

A Good Man is full of gorgeous hand-drawn images of men and some really lovely sentiments. I was so excited that Stampin’ Up! have included this set in their pre-order for demonstrators as it was high up on my wish list. It arrived yesterday and it didn’t take me long to come up with a few designs

Today’s card is the first design of 3 that I will be sharing over the next few days and it also features the new “Stitched Nesting Dies” that are part of the Bird Ballad Suite.

I have used a standard cardbase that has been cut from a piece of Sahara Sand A4 Cardstock and I have layered a piece of Whisper White Cardstock onto the card front. Thus piece measures 10cm x 14.4cm.

I have cut a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock using one of the Stitched Nesting Dies and added it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise.

I have stamped the male figure onto the card front so that it is half on the white and half on the Balmy Blue piece. The reason I have done this is because I want the pattern around his feet to show clearly. I have then stamped the image again onto a separate piece of Whisper White Cardstock using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad and coloured in with Stampin’ Blends. I have cut the image out using my Paper Snips and attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and I have heat-embossed it onto Basic Black Cardstock using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I have then cut the individual words out into separate pieces and attached to the card front. The word “Dad” is part of another sentiment that is included with the stamp set.

I can see this stamp set being a firm favourite with me and I’m excited to show you the other designs from today!
