Introducing the new Come Sail Away product suite with something special

Hi all,

So this week has been all about saying farewell to a few of my favourite products that will not be available after May so I think it’s only right I show you something NEW starting with the suite of products that feature on the front of the new 2019/20 annual catalogue which is called “Come Sail Away” and it is just WOW!

This product suite is made up from the following coordinating items.
  • Sailing Home Cling Stamp Set
  • Smooth Sailing Dies
  • High Seas 3DEmbossing Folder
  • Come Sail Away Designer Series Papers
  • Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack
  • Bakers Twine
  • Sail Away Trinkets
I think everyone at Onstage was blown away by this suite of product and how beautiful everything coordinates from the trinkets, colours on the DSP and the Memories and More Card Park too. For someone that has to have it all, this is definitely the suite for you!

To introduce you to this very special product suite I have made a home decor piece to showcase how versatile this suite can be. I picked up this frame in a local Poundland store as it screamed “I NEED TO BE DECORATED” and it was my first go to for this suite.

There is glass in the frame so the feature that I have created looks as though it is floating. Really effective but super hard to photograph without picking up my reflection!

The Come Sail Away feature in this project measures 4” square and started as a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that I have coloured lightly with a Sponge Brayer and some ink from a Balmy Blue Classic Stampin’ Pad. I have stamped the birds image with second generation stamping in Smoky Slate.

I have created the sea feature using Balmy Blue Cardstock that I have cut using the scalloped Edgelit die from the Seasonal Layers Dies. I have used a Sponge Dauber and some Whisper White Ink to the edges of the Cardstock and gone round with the blade of my Paper Snips to rough up the edges. I have then layered them over each other.

The boats have been stamped in Basic Gray and coloured lightly with Smoky Slate and a Spomge Dauber again. Before attaching to the card, I have tied some of the Bakers Twine and Linen Thread, securing with a bow.

The sentiment has been stamped in Night of Navy and cut out using a die from the Stitched Labels Dies. I have added this and the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish I have added a wheel from the Sail Away Trinkets and a few of the smallest blue sequins that are in the Iridescent Sequins embellishments.

In the photo below I have laid a piece of the Come Sail Away DSP underneath the frame for the purpose of the photograph but I think it looks really effective!

I have used the following products to put this card together:
