Hi all,

I don't know about you, but cards for men always give my brain fog and I tend to still buy them for the men in my life (Ssssshh don't tell anyone!).  In the Stampin' Up! catalogues, they are giving us some really useful products to use for male orientated cards and Geared Up Garage is just that.  It features in our Spring/Summer catalogue in a bundle called "Classic Garage" and there are some gorgeous coordinating items to use including Designer Series Papers, Metal Elements and of course a stamp set and dies.

Classic Garage

You can find some stunning projects all over Pinterest that features these projects so it wasn't difficult to get the creative juices flowing for this one.

I'm a big fan of layering on my projects and I have done just that on today's card using the stamps, some ribbon, some die-cut cardstock and some stamping.

I have used a standard white card base that I have cut from some Thick A4 Whisper White Cardstock.  The measurements for this are 10.5cm x 29.8cm, scored at 14.9cm and folded in half to create a tent fold.

For the top layer I have cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 3" x 4" and used the "splodge" image and Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad to stamp until the stamp is clean.  The stamp retains the ink really well so you get lots of different tones of the same colour.

I have then used the Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend to flick some ink across the stamping.  I have then attached this to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals and then used the same Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend to hand draw a line around the layer that I have attached.

The cogs have been die-cut from a piece of Smoky Slate A4 Cardstock and I have coloured over it using the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend.

I have cut a piece of Burlap Ribbon and pulled the strands all apart and then laid it on the card front using a piece of Tear and Tape over to secure it to the card.

The car has been stamped using the Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad and coloured in with Stampin' Blends.

I have die-cut the banner in Basic Black Cardstock, stamped the image in Basic Gray onto Whisper White Cardstock and attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to finish.

What do you think?

I have used the following products to put this card together:
