Floating Frame cards are so much fun!

Hi all,

In the last few weeks there seems to be a new trend in card making using the Floating Frame Technique.  There are lots of tutorials online for this but I have found Jennifer McGuire's to be the easiest to follow and her cards and stunning!

These cards are all about steps and they are lots of fun to put together and what's even better you get 2 cards for the price of 1 everytime!

I have used the popular "Press N Seal" to keep my images in place while putting everything together.

For this Floating Frame card, I have used the new To a Wild Rose stamp set and coordinating Wild Rose Dies to cut out the images.  They have been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento and I have used the in-fill stamps in Rococco Rose for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves.  I wanted to make the flowers POP so I chose to use Basic Black Cardstock for my card base.

As this is a two-step stamp set, and you have alot of images to stamp and in-fill, I find it really useful to use the Stamparatus as you can line up the images and in-fill stamps really easy and it's very efficient for duplicate stamping.

The sentiments have been stamped and heat-embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

Like I mentioned earlier, you get 2 cards for 1 with the images that you cover the card with for the initial step and it's really effective.

If you want to learn this technique and live locally in Kent I am running two Floating Frames classes on the 21st May and the 4th June.  Details are below.  At the moment I have spaces on the 4th June class only and it's going to be lots of fun!

I have used the following products to put this card together:
